No. Permanent residents are still required to register for Thailand Pass and with appropriate insurance.
thanks for the reply

I believe Thai Nationals are no longer required to apply for Thailand pass to re-enter Thailand. Are ex pats with Permanent Residency status also allowed to re-enter Thailand without having to apply for a Thailand pass?

Can’t find any info either here or in U.K. as to when the vaccine likely to be approved in U.K. or why it is taking so long to approve.

Anutin is not fit for purpose. But then are any of the so called members of the government. They are pond life. I'm alright Jack, got my AZ imported vaccine. Let the rest of the people eat cake. I'm off to my big mansion to enjoy the good life!

Sooner or later they will realize that Thais or chinese will never replace the big foreign spenders .
They will put in place a few more restrictions , and then they will open up to farangs again , Virus or not .
Because it is money what they want .
of course its money they want due to loss of income. Same everywhere. You don't have to be blessed with a bunch of brain cells to understand that.

So much negative and critical bs from moronic people on thai visa I wonder why they ever came here in the first place. Surely better here than in Europe or USA.

I question if all COVID-19 cases are reported. I see plenty of village folks in the rural areas not practicing “social distancing”. Oh, I forgot, it is only “farangs “ that spread the virus.????
Same old gramophone record pal. Give it a break or think up something original. yawn. !

How refreshing to hear a positive post about Thailand. Thai Visa seems to be dominated by people who aren't happy unless they are complaining about something.
I alway say if you don't like it here and constantly complain then leave. To put it bluntly either put up or shut up. Lets have no more negative thoughts. We stay because we like it.

Bit like UK politics then. Whats the problem?. Don't you think you better off here than UK?

The Thai exchange rate gives poor value to tourists, once the rich Indians have had their one visit they will move on to greener pastures, just like the Chinese. I don't know any Thai who has nice things to say about Indian people, they will feel unwelcome, so I don't expect any long term boom.
Bad comment....Totally unacceptable.!!!

So now have spoken to Immigration and PR holders don't need to renew their multiple entry visa if they don't intend to go overseas if current multiple entry visa has or about to expire. For example my multiple entry visa expired in November and I will renew it in 3 months time just before I go overseas in March. No point in renewing if not going overseas. Nothing has changed. Hope this clarifies everything. Just remember not to let your alien book expire.

What do you mean by endorsement. In the past as a permanent resident I only renew by multiple entry visa as and when necessary. Where on the immigration site does it say about this new rule.

"...KBank president Predee Daochai said it met world-class security standards. Fee payments will be supported by KBank’s electronic payment system to accommodate cross-border transactions in more than 126 currencies..."
"Payments can be made via including credit card, QR code and Internet banking. Payment via QR code will debut in China through WeChat Pay, AliPay and China Union Pay..."
They can't even run a website to process 90 day reports. They are going to have a website which is secure, can process 8 MILLION applications a year, speak many languages, and provide secure payment in three years?
How many of you would be happy to put your passport information AND your financial information on that site? Seriously, how many?
Comedy gold!
Who says the web site doesn’t work. Everybody I know says it works well.

Just making it harder and more complicated for people who actually follow the rules to be with their wife or legitimately want to retire here.
If you follow the Immigration rules you have no worries. It's the people who don't follow the rules that should worry and quite right too!

Read my post again. The top line says Meteorological office, as I am addressing the issuer of the statement first.. The closing line highlights that stupid predictions of this sort, not backed up with decent factual information is given to us by all branches of Govt. regularly. I stand by my post.
One day I will be surprised when somebody has something positive to say about the government. I wonder why we stay in Thailand at all. Better not to read the negative posts on tv and just enjoy life. ??

Do you think this spoilt little ferrel creature really cares what we think. No chance. Just hope I don't bump into him at Gordon Ramsey's as I tend to become rather loud in disagreeable situations.

Ha ha.
Well the announcement last year I think if closing down all the dodgy massage parlours on Soi 33 and Soi 26 in Bangkok came to nothing. In fact they are more blatant than ever particular on Soi 26 which isn't even a recognised so called entertainment area.

And they have a little something to help resistance of H1N1. Ahhhh LOS the hub of everything...
But ok, if it's true then great!!! Then maybe 21million baht for more research for this instead of junket's too Hawaii for 38 people...!
Better to try and fail than not to try at all and whisevto say that they have failed.

I feel sorry for the less fortunate who are affected. Rich people who get their cars damaged? Not so much. Not at all really.

Wiring looms on modern cars are pretty complex and they are easily damaged. The battery is in the boot of this car. The car was on an incline and only the boot area was under water, just enough to cover the battery. That's when the fun started.
I'm working right now, so enough comments from me.
Thawing UK Frozen Pensions

I was advised that if you spent a full 6 months in the UK during the tax year which starts in April when you return to Thailand your pension remains at the new increased rate. Less than 6 months your pension returns to the rate before the increase. Is that correct?
