  1. Should have been thrown in a cell and made to donate 1,000,000 to the hospital in recompense for the appalling behavior.

    Wonder where the "Mates" are/were?

These "brave" Aussie drunkards are usually to be found in packs !

He has got a real Aussie sounding name hasn't he just because he flew from Australia doesn't make him Australian. As for found in drunken pack's really show what a imbecile you really are probably a pom still not over the cricket.

  2. I'm a Australian who once helped a Pom out in Bangkok. He clamied a taxi driver had taken off with everything he had wallet credit cards in the wallet.lap-top the lot.He reckoned he owened t-shirt factories in udon and in Bangkok.Igave him a loan of 10,000 baht.Mind you I had been drinking with this bloke and other friend's for about a week.2 hours after loaning him the money he dissappeared and I still have never laid eyes on him since

  3. her mothers land and i paid cash money 4 installments on the house.I dont really care about the house Im going back to empty the contents though. My original question does anybody know what time frame imigration has if sending her home.I would like to know if she has to go or if she stays simple as that.I live 1000 klms from her now but would like to know either way.

  4. I started a thread awhile back of my marrige to a thai lady gone sour. Also do I now withdraw my sponsership of her. I have withdrawn my sponsership by writting a letter to immigration about four weeks later I get a letter back stating they confirm that I withdraw my sponsership. Then goes on to say that seeing that I am no longer party to the application I will not find out if she will be allowed to stay or get sent back to Thailand. She has moved in with another thai lady and her boyfriend and son and I have been told by people in the know that her boyfriend is now sponsering her. Does anybody know how long it takes for immigration to make a decision to send her home if thats the case.It has now been about 2 months since I withdrew my sponsership and she is still in the country do I take it she is allowed to stay or to early to tell yet. Also the story of how we met was a complete fabrication to the real way we met but I fear if I told immigration the real story 1 Mabye I could get into trouble 2 They would treat it as a case of sour grapes. Any comments appreciated in advance.

  5. After 3 years of marrige to my Thai wife things have gone sour and we have split up.She hasn't reached the permanent residency part of her visa yet probably 2-3 month's short. My question is what happens now do I ring imigration and cancel my sponsership or what.I belive she can change her visa to some other type to stay in Australia until she gets permanent residency. But what are my obligations cancell the sponsership or not.As usual I lose a new house in Thailand full of every mod con there is.Is it within my right to go over there get a truck and empty the house of it's contents as all was bought with my money.Any advice would be welcome.

  6. My wife we married in Australia.had two 3 month tourist visa's,second one we were married here in Australia.Third time asked for a 12 month visa they knocked us back and only gave us a 6 month single entry. Each time we or she went home early never stayed full time for the visa. Now going the partner visa fingers crossed she has done the hospital check on the 5th goes for the police check then I think we just wait anything up to 6 months for them to decide.Anybody done partner visa any different is the police check and hospital the only thing required as she is hanging around Bangkok to do this but wants to go home to Non burra lamphu.

  7. If they want to help ease traffic matters they should reduce the number of taxis. There are an extimated 70,000 taxis in a city that only requires about half that number. Another thing would be for the taxi driver to accept all fares who flag them. I am fed up with the crap of taxi drivers telling me they do not or will not go where I want to go. Failure to accept a fare should result in hack licenxse revocation. Now, why won't this ever happen? The taxi mafia.

Let them go blow smoke up someone else's ass.

Seconded. What kind of crap taxi service refuses a fare? Have never seen this in any other country ever, it's ridiculous.

same in the Phillipines if a taxi driver used his meter I gave big tip for being a honest man

  8. How stupid can they get, why would anyone layout around 8oo pound for airline ticket from UK to come here before they know they will be granted a visa, how about the back packers who just travel and get a bed where ever they find themseves, in my opinion more braun dead thinking.

I totaly agree and allways do that never buy a airline ticket untill Iget the visa and that applies both ways if I am travelling from Australia I wait until I get the visa to travel to Thailand. Also if coming back to Australia with my Thai wife I get the visa first then the plane ticket simply because the Australian embassy asks for the date you would like to travel,We put that date down lucky we didn't by airline ticket's as her visa was approved 4 week's passed that date.Dont think the airlines give out refund's because you haven't got your visa yet. Also there's the off chance it wont be approved and you get know visa.Lucky for us we have a very good Thai consulate where we live in Australia. Also I thought that was how the consulates made their money wages ect from the money made from visa's that was why the cried foul with the free visa program last year amazing what a change of government does the last gave away visa's to promote tourism this one trying to make it harder.Every one will now get non "0" visas then they'll crack down on them to.Why do they make it harder for the people that spend the most money in their country whether falang that live there or 60 day tourist's I will never know.I am back in Australia now for a few months but lived there a short time 1 year built a house with my wife in Issan. Also been going there on and off for about 5 years love the place been everywhere north south east and west .Next they will stop same day boarder runs then everybody will be in the shit.

  9. I,m in Bangkok now was going to get my Thai wife (married in Australia) a tourist visa she has been to Australia twice before with me.While there I was going to start procceedings for a partner one.So I,m I to understand because of the bit of yellow paper she gets with tourist visa stating she cannot have any extra time we cannot now apply for the partner one or for the second part of it we would have to return to Thailand to do. Also if we done the lot here in Thailand how long does it take to get her passport stamped to allow her to stay in Australia awaiting outcome of the second part.Hope i haven't confused anyone. All answers much appreciated as we want to start all this straight away. Thanks in advance

  10. Did you outline her tourist visa application as you've said here? ie, house here, home to clean up affairs, give some indication tongue fact that you WILL be returning?

We've had problems on both visa applications we submitted, and both times they were just returned. No phone call. No email. Nothing. (both could have been fixed easily via phone/email).

Their basic premise is not to make it easy, you HAVE to be spot on. The fact that you haven't got it back yet is probably more positive (IMHO), because it would indicate to me that they are looking into it.

Do give them a call, or rather get your wife to call. It's a pita trying to get thru, but by now there will be a case officer assigned to it and you should be able yo find out where it's at pretty quickly.

Outlined everything perfect even sent photos of house my wife and I and the monks blessing the house. Last visa she got showed house under construction by photo.Have tried ringing embassy can never get through sent e-mail to have them returned to me cannot deliver can you go to the embassy in person or not see I travel on a english passport with a resident return visa.Went to Australia 8 years old now 55 and its a long story why I havent got a Australian one.

  11. My wife and I married in Australia not here applied for a tourist visa to go back to Australia for me to clean up some personal affairs have a short holiday then come back and settle down in our recently finished house in Non Sang. She was granted a tourist visa in october where we stayed in Australia for only 1 month and 2 weeks so no overstays or nothing. As my wife I have said I will be fully supporting her.The recepit from cc towers vfs say's we should of had a answer on the 19/01/2011 but now the 30th no answer no phone call or e-mail explaining why.Anybody else had to wait this long everbody say's the second visa is easier to get any clues or answer appreciated

  12. At the moment I'm on a non immigrant 0 visa which I either have to get out of the country do border run what ever on monday the 24th.I plan on returning to Australia for a brief period with my Thai wife who at the moment is waiting to hear from the Australian embassy on a tourist visa for her was supposed to be confirmed on the 19th .My question is can I instead of doing a boarder run then maybe flying out of the country a couple of days or a week later , get a extention of 2 weeks or whatever from immigration even though my non immigrant 0 dosnt run out till April.A boarder run would be a pain in the ass because I'm all ready in Bangkok. How bad is an overstay of up to a week whats the penalty and would it affect the rest of my time on the non immigrant 0

  13. Also what about the 4 to 6 year olds out begging up and down soi 4 Nana. I have seen one of these kids flogged by it's mother because she missed a farang that walked passed her. These are the kid's that should be in bed at home not begging selling chewing gum or roses.Or wont they count as they are with one of their parent's.I also say it dosent happen in Bangkok but in every major town in the country.Ihad one try to sell me roses in Chang Rai at 2.30 a.m. and it was plain as day she was knackered and wanted to sleep

  14. The firm we used had initials EEC and assured us their stamp would be ok but it wasn't really dont want to fork out for a law firm because if their stamp differs from this Bangkok one I would say I'll get the same result not good enough go to Bangkok

If the stamp you need is from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that is what makes a translation of a foreign document legal by law in Thailand and is a normal requirement when providing documents to a District Office (paper from your Embassy to allow marriage is a good example as is registration of a foreign marriage). Normally a local law firm can take care of such paperwork without the need for you to travel to Bangkok (if that is what is required).

  15. After trying to get a yellow book for over a month now I think I will give up.On enquiring for this mystical little book,we where told by the local office to get certain documents translated into Thai and come back.3,000 baht later plus a 78klm trip to Kon Kaen we visit our local office again with our translated and stamped documents.Guess what not good enough wrong stamp, the majic stamp these lazy so and so's want is in guess where of course Bangkok why in this country is the only stamp in existance in bloody Bangkok. Now I,ll let you in on another secret went to a party yesterday at my best friends house 100klms away,he's a aussie like me just built a house the party was a house warming a lady turns up takes documents off him that had no majic stamp leaves comes back hour and a half later with his yellow book,PRICE 1,500 BAHT AND HE DIDNT LEAVE HOME AND WAS DONE ON A SUNDAY AH AMAZING THAILAND.Wish she worked in my area .I try to do it legally allready 3000 baht out of pocket now a trip to Bangkok on top of that if I even bother no doubt if I go get the magic stamp something else will be wrong.Seem to be their way if they find things wrong you'll give up.

  16. On closer inspection it was leaking oil from like a round hose with a circlip on it under the back of the fuel tank, this hose seems to go to a large rectangular box with a clear plastic hose coming from the right hand side this hose has oil in it too.

    needpics1.gif

Sorry mate, I'm looking at my ER6 and just can't figure out what you're talking about...

if you look under the rear of the fuel tank i removed the black plastic decoration anyway under the rear of the fuel-tank i have a black rectangular plastic(i think)box with a blackhose on the left side and a clear hose on the righthand side which veers over to the left of the motor i have a oil leak from the black hose not the clear one but the clear hose has oil in it too but not full where it meets the motor theres about 3-4 inches of oil in it.Just had another look if you look about 12 inches above where your gear stick spline is look above the frame you will see the hose I'm talking about with a circlip on it

  17. Own a er-6n rode it to Kon Kaen about 74 klms from home developed a rattle sounded like the left hand side of motor.Rode back to home where I made it to 4klms from home where had to pull up for Thai woman in black ute who owned the road and bugger me.The bike stalled then it would not start again. On closer inspection it was leaking oil from like a round hose with a circlip on it under the back of the fuel tank, this hose seems to go to a large rectangular box with a clear plastic hose coming from the right hand side this hose has oil in it too.The bike seemed to of nearly run out of oil even though no oil light was on ,on the dash.the bike refused to start I got some oil from the honda shop put in the bike.then let the bike cool down for awhile after 3 attemps she finally fired upgot the wife on the back and rode the last 3-4 klms home where the bike wanted to snuff out at low revs. Also the rattle first mentioned was not present all the time just at a certain rev range any help appreciated as dont have a manual looks like a dealer in udon thani might have to try and get it there. Thanks

  18. There is a law in Thailand that the parents can be held responsible for their kids up to the age of 20 years old - maybe need to start enforcing that law! Don't know the details but sure need to think about it!

In some cases yes others no.In Brisbane Australia we had trouble in a suburb with gangs of Samoen's.My mates son got the flogging of his life. When we finally tracked this kid's adress down we decided to approach the farther of this boy first. On going into the house we found a 5 foot nothing white male that married a samoen lady his17 year old boy was about 6foot four built like a brick outhouse that flogged his farther every time he came home drunk .How could you hold him responsible for his sons actions.I personally would be tracking down who and where these kids are getting the guns hold them responsible as well.
