  1. she's incompetent as a politician, everybody knows that, period !

so being still attractive for her age, why she just doesnt apply for a job as go-go dancer in Pattaya ?

Bet it will be a colourfull view in Walking Street every night... especially much Red will be all over the place....

There she can be a SUPERSTAR !

wooow and all those Chinese squadrons walking around there with their RED flags.... must be nice attraction for all the others.... coffee1.gif

I think that the above is very insulting to a cultered, dignified, elected world leader. HOOD Robin, please apologize.

  2. So, her English isn't perfect. There is something to admire in the fact that she has the guts to give interviews in English. How does Obama do in Chinese or Cameron in German? Suthep, of course, will NOT give any interviews in English. While he seeks out foreign media, he insists on using an interpreter. That doesn';t make his ideas any less nutty

Why doesn't Suthep give interviews in English? After all he has an M.A. in Political Sciences, Middle Tennesse State University, USA. At least Yingluck tries her best to give English interviews. According to my wife her Thai is coherent, cultered and educated. And she doesn't rant and rave.

As for dodging the questions, what politician, including Obama, doesn't?

  3. "well, I'm angry as you and many/most people in BKK. How can ONE man be allowed to play with a government or police. Is there really nobody to stop him. Why the police CANNOT arrest him? Because of Thainess.....??"

They cannot arrest him because all hell would break loose in Bangkok and the South which might cause the Army to intervene which would cause the Red Shirts to join the fray and then where would we be. Civil war. Better to let him rant and rave.

  4. Don't even give them (PTP) a chance at the election - they will buy their way in as they've done it before!

The Democrat people paid my wife's family last time and they voted for Yingluk.

    So the PTP paid more....

Which shows that a voter doesn't need to sell to the highest bidder. He or she can sell to ALL the bidders. However, this does help to get out the vote which is not a bad thing. Obama used the same tactic by offering free transport to and from the polling place and maybe a free hamburger at McDonalds.

  5. Although I have never used it, Schwab will open a US dollar account into which you can transfer via ACH from another US bank. They give you a Visa or Master card good in any ATM around the world. They will then reimburse you for all ATM charges. Sounds like cheapest way to me without having to keep money in a Thai bank and still getting cash as you need it.

  6. I would like to hear people's views on Abhisit's quote, "the democratic process has been distorted."

What does that mean to people?

well it clearly means "we will lose - so we won't take part - so there!" and that's all it means as if they thought they could/would win their constant whining would miraculously cease

Yet, they took part in the 2007 and 2011 elections when they didn't have much chance. Try again.

Yes, we screwed up in those elections, so let's don't make that mistake again.
  7. Where else in the world could a P.M. who leads a party democratically elected by the people, be ordered to resign, except in a "banana republic"?

I am no fan of PTP, but how can this be possible?

Because beneath all the glitz and glamour it is a Banana Republic . I'm beginning to think you fancy her a bit Rat. wink.png

So not elected by the people only the party. If we lose I will step down (because I will not be in the limelight, no trips abroad, no perks, less mobile bills, no more free aircraft seat, family would be out so I will also.

To be fair if you have the fight you will stay on in opposition and want for your people to return to power, but alas telling the truth you would be useless in the house in opposition to argue against KORN (wish) Yingluck you did what was asked by your brother, and the party. NOT BY the ELECTORATE they didn't vote you in.

If your party do get re-elected it will not be because of your leadership. ONLY money will return you in office.

Were Abhisit and/or Suthep EVER voted in by the electorate to their recent positions as PM and vice-PM?
