  1. I wonder what the US is doing about getting to the bottom of this evil trade, for having a go at Thailand and laying the blame at their door will do nothing to stop it as it originates in and is organized from other countries.

Are they in fact chasing others such as the point of departure or the end buyer neither of which is Thailand.

Farther to that is the Malaysian military and government working on their side of the border, which if what I read elsewhere is true, is poorly defined in that area and some these camps may in fact be in Malaysia. If not why not ?

The fact that this camp and the graves have been found by Thai authority shows that they are attempting to do something about it (at last), can the same be said about other countries involved ?

I hope Thailand is not just the convenient whipping boy here and the indignation at this is directed widely.

Again just because these mass graves are being found in Thailand doesn't mean it has anything to do with Thailand.

What is wrong with these people trying to blame everything on the Thai's.

If you don't like.............. Oh done that already.

How can you say that it's not a Thailand problem! Are you so full of yourself that officials and cops in the area are get round up. This is not something that just happened for a week or two. This bs has been going on for along time and people most like got paid off to look the other way. Thais know what's going on in their backyards. They just look the other way and get paid for it. Shame on all you people who are defending this. These people are fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, sons and daughters. It makes me sad to see some of these comments. I wish I could grab you people by the neck and show you what a mass grave looks like and throw you in it and watch you weep. And I've seen mass graves in Bosnia. It will scar you forever!
  2. Yet, again US sticking it's nose into other countries activities; enough issues for US to fix in it's own backyard....civil unrest, police shootings, unemployment, etc, etc.

Well if Thailand would take care of these problems in the first place, others wouldn't have to stick there nose in it... And then again why doesn't the whole world just give up on humanity and see what you will say then....

  3. Jutaporn an unelected gobshite

    Suthep an unelected gobshite

Prayuth an unelected pillar of society?

Why are the farangs who don't have a say always getting their panties in a twist over who's elected and whose not, when it's GOT NOTHING TO DO WITH THEM??????

Maybe if you become a member of the UDD or then Democrat party or join the RTA perhaps you might have a point and be able to do something about it, but your getting wound up over issued that's quite frankly none of your business and perhaps the old adage of "staying in your lane" is more appropriate!!

Why not write the the leader of the UDD and complain instead of constantly whining on here about Thai affairs of which you have zero input on?

Must be boring as hell in The middle of Nakhon Nowhere surrounded by Reds and having no friends these days!!

Many of us Farang as you call us may not be able to vote, but we have many interests here like Family and companies and investments. This is part of the problem Thais should open their eyes and keep mouth shut and ears open and maybe understand what us Farang are saying.
  4. They have found a new income there.... Its called GOLD FEVER. get rid of the parties and lets start a open pit gold mine.$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Huge gold mine planned for Koh Phangan http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/813821-huge-gold-mine-planned-for-koh-phangan/

Maybe you should have noted the date...

Its kind of strange that after one week of announcing the gold mine they start this banning of parties....

Maybe after they rape the gold the can use the pit for Samui's garbage problem...

  5. He is neither funny nor does he have any sensibility for politically incorrect remarks.

He sure knew that in the present situation with tenses between US and the government this could only put further and unnecessary heat in the tension.

Or is that what he intended all along?

What government? Has the coup been lifted?

The current government has been endorsed by the revered Head-of-State, or didn't you get the memo ? wink.png

the yanks have not endorsed this government

Yes they have. They recently held joint military exercises on Thai soil.

Where do you get the word lie in all this. You must be a Thai? Americans have not endorsed the military junta at all. The are just putting up with it for now as you you would put up with a five year old child crying. Withe the hope that the child will do the right thing after the tantrum. The Americans just want to see a democracy as I think most Thais do too. As for the cobra gold exercises, the U.S. only involved itself in the humanitarian part and not the combat part. And only use a third of the personal.

  6. He is banned to travel to the U.S. still. But because the UN is in New York he will be allowed to travel to NY and no where else. He will also be banned to any formal US- Thailand meetings. It's the same as the other dictatorship, re: Iran, Libya, Venezuela ect...

I'm trying to think of how you could be more wrong in that many words, and I can't. Start to finish, it's a classic. He isn't banned, he can travel where he wants. There won't BE any US meetings for him to attend and it's not the same as the three countries you mention - individually or collectively. All wrong.

There are no US sanctions against the members of the junta, their friends or family. There are no US sanctions against Thailand. Official relations are cool without doubt. Some military deals have been, er, "delayed". But no sanctions exist against the country or its directors, whether in or out of jackboots.

I got a kick out of the "he can't figure out why no one got the joke" post. It *is* ironic that the only person marching in step is General Failure and everyone else is out of step. Great metaphor, that.

I'm not wrong at all. And I believe Australia has imposed the same ban too. And Prayut knows it. But he is allowed to go to NY for the UN assembly as any other leader of a country, but he will not be able to travel anywhere else in the US.

Neither has the EU. However the 3 most prominent EU members - the UK, Germany and France are all clamoring round to do deals and increase business, education and cultural ties.

Welcome to the wonderful pretend world of Western politics.

True. But if democracy doesn't return soon you'll see a different picture. Either way it's like dealing with five year olds.
