Yes I agree, and of course it's cheaper to buy directly from the supplier in Chiang Mai.
But if you do not want to wait for a package to arrive from Bangkok, there is another place worth mentioning.

Red Hill Coffee , in Jomtien.

The owner also owns the farm in Chiang Rai and harvest his own beans.  And I would say the quality is exceptional.  Premium beans light drip roast are 380 baht last time I checked, but you can ask for a discount.

Anyone know how to order their beans through Grab?

Red Hill Coffee can be found on the Grab app, but coffee beans are not listed there.

Thanks I will ask around, personally I dont know where to look for it but I thank you for your help. I just like good clear vision in my mirrors it could safe my life.

Perhaps not quite as good, but how about convex blind spot mirrors attached to the corners of the regular mirrors? I've seen a few riders with these on their scooter mirrors. Perhaps they sell them in BigC car accessory sections, or some bike accessory shops.

  3. Great tip on Benjamit, been thoroughly enjoying their fine beans. Anybody know about their roasting schedule? Based on the dates on the bags i've bought so far it seems that they roast on at least sundays / mondays depending on the week (or perhaps the type of bean/roast?), but do they also roast beans in the midweek? I'd like to buy them as fresh as possible.

  4. If i was an hbo subscriber, i'd want a refund. I find Louie's act funny. What he does irl is irrelevant.

If Hitler had been an amazing impressionist painter, i'd still might want to see his art, even though i'm against all that he as a person stood for.

If Louie was guilty of DUI (a worse crime than this) they wouldn't cancel his show. At any rate, to punish customers by limiting their choices for the actions of actors doesn't seem right.

  5. I'm going on a vacation to Japan for two weeks with my thai girlfriend. She is taking Jasmin birth control pills, and would like to continue taking them during the trip. In Japan, oral contraceptives are prescription only. My gf doesn't have a prescription for the pills, because in Thailand they are sold over the counter.

We called yesterday to a couple of clinics and Memorial hospital in Pattaya, but none of them would write a prescription. Is there a possibility of running into trouble with the japanese customs if she enters the country with a half eaten pack of Jasmin in her purse?

I would check if I paid with a credit card as if they trace it down, you could be billed twice....

Another option would be to alert the press,  make a big fuss as the Thai's do,  give the item back in person and make sure you make the headlines with your picture all over under the giant title :  "Quality farang expat returns item sent by mistake"......:clap2:

I paid cash on delivery, so them billing it twice won't be an issue.

I like your second idea, but it sounds like "a whole to do"..

  7. I'm not sure if this is in the correct forum, but if not, moderators, could you point me in the right direction, thanks.

I ordered a single item from lazada, filled by a 3rd party shop in Thailand.

The courier delivered two identical packages at the same time, both addressed to me,

both containing the item i ordered, so i now have two of them.

Obviously an error at the 3rd party seller. The value of the item was a little over 1000 thb.

In my country in europe, that'd be the end of the story and i could just keep both items.

Is it the same here, or do i have a responsibility to report the error to the 3rd party seller or lazada? If the seller

does contact me, do i have a responsibility to send back or pay for the second item i received?

So, if I arrive in Bangkok, spend 3 nights in a hotel there followed by a few nights in a hotel in Hua Hin, am I breaking any rules? Presumably the hotel is supposed to report me being there anyway or do they now expect me to rush straight back to Pattaya to report to immigration the next day??

You're not required to go directly home when you return from your travels. What the immigration wants is to know where you are at all times. If you first visit in bkk and hua hin, the hotels will do the TM30 for you. When you do return to your home in pattaya, that's when you're supposed to do the TM30 yourself.

Are you saying that Aerox stock 14" F/R wheels-tyres will fit on the NMax? If so, that would make the NMax a 100% winner? And if so, why have anyone mentioned this before, I wonder???

One thing to consider, Nmax has rear disc brakes, aerox doesn't.

  10.

I want to send a steam game or a modest amount of steam credit to my nephew in Sweden for his birthday.

Steam no longer allows gifting games from thai region to europe, so i was thinking of sending

a gift card / steam wallet code instead. Steam website says that steam gift cards can be purchased

from thai 711, but i've yet to find one that actually sells them. The clerks knew of them, but said it didn't sell so they

    don't stock them anymore.

Anybody know where to buy a steam gift card in pattaya, or of an online vendor that sells the codes to thailand? I tried

gamesupply, but they refused to sell one to a thai resident.

Also, any other ideas on how to get my nephew a steam game would be greatly appreciated.

  11. If you have eaten raw plaa raa in the past, there is a test and i recommend taking it (don't know how long you need to wait after consumption though). I ate some of it many years ago, and had the liver fluke test done in memorial hospital in pattaya, consisting of stool and blood tests. Cost: less than 2000 baht. Relief for not having to worry about it: priceless.

Hi, Im arriving Pattaya mid September. Experienced freediver and looking for training. Did you find anyone in Pattaya/Jomtien area?

I just asked a few people, but didn't find anything yet. Did you have better luck?

  13. Thanks stevenl for your input. I perused their website, and while they do offer various types of scuba courses, freediving courses (diving without scuba gear) weren't mentioned. I wonder if they offer those only on request.

Did you ask any of the DC's there?

I haven't asked yet. I'm planning to do the advanced padi course with mermaids later this month, so i'll ask around at that time.
