  1. Does the writer of this article actually understand English? What is this supposed to mean? "Meanwhile, Chief Opposition whip Jurin Laksanavisit said the opposition Democrat MPs must do their duty on a no-confidence debate against the PM today and tomorrow even if Suthep saying that this Parliament was no function." And why do you people at ThaiVisa publish this crap? The Post and the Nation are both some of the worst English-language newspapers ever published. The writers know nothing about real English, they can't organize their facts right and produce a real news story and their grammar is terrible. Why do you have anything to do with these idiots? Stop sending me this junk. I've had enough.

  2. The morons at TAT have been saying the same thing for the last 15 years. They wouldn't know how to target something if they were standing on top of it anyway so it really doesn't matter what market they say they're going after. What they fail to realize is that high-end travelers don't WANT to come to Thailand in general. Thailand's international reputation as a sex tourism haven is one reason and the other is that there is nothing here that these people want to see. Do they want to go to see a few temples, go to a jewelry store, buy overpriced high-end brand name merchandise somewhere, eat in the, mostly, mediocre restaurants here, pay absurd prices for a decent glass of wine, etc, etc, etc? What is it that the TAT thinks these people want to do here? If the TAT yoyos were really smart they'd get the government to legalize prostitution, regulate and help the sex workers and promote Thailand as the sex capital of the world. Tourism would double. Think of all that money. Obviously it would never happen but what they're going to do instead is absurd and will be a total waste of time. TIT

  3. Morals, ethics, principles, rule of law, etc., are non-existent in this country. There is only one thing that matters in this country and that is money and money buys power. In most western countries corruption is an aberration. Here it is a way of life. How do you eradicate something that is so strongly ingrained in a society? I think it's impossible and that nothing will ever change here. I wish I was wrong but I don't think I am.

  4. Get a retirement visa. Go to he American embassy in Bangkok and fill out a declaration of income form (it's called something like this) and put down that you make over 65,000 baht a month. They will notarize it for you and then take it to immigration and you'll get a retirement visa. Nothing else is needed and obviously the embassy doesn't check on your income so don't worry about what your actual income is. All the immigration people want to see is the piece of paper with the embassy stamp on it.
