  1. Was recently in S.R. Cambodia,  went to a huge supermarket ands shocked by selection and price of real wines from around the world... many priced at $5. !!!  to compare to local booze prices a bottle of 7 yo Havana Club rum is 1,600 baht in Chiang Mai shops, the same in Cambodia is $12.50 (<400 baht)..  gotta wonder why?

  2. If you like it, it is good.  My wine experience here has been similar to many others ... grim.  The adulterated (fruit added) "wine" I find most acceptable is Laughing Bird Red ... available at Tesco express in 1.5L bottles.

  3. old thread... but anyway, when my friend offed himself in the hills, they found his remains and stored them at the morgue and his family in the U.S. gave me consent to dispose of him, I bought a pressboard box casket, hired a truck picked up his odiferous corpse and delivered it to a "wat men" a bit north of town. Bought monk robes, flowers etc. as instructed by the head monk, 4 of them chanted a bit, rolled the box into the "oven" ... returned the next day with a couple friends and was presented with a pile of bone fragments , many identifiable.  A fellow wrapped them in white cloth and pushed on the bundle crushing and crunching the bones for a few moments and then handed over.  We carried about half kilometer to the Mae Ping and placed it in the water. .... so yea, it is done that way.  ..total cost about 6,000 baht

Is salary not negotiable in the U.S? Normally in the UK there's a pay scale that you can try and enter higher up.

Good point,  for many corporate jobs there are negotiated salaries. In those cases the salary is contingent on the perceived value the worker brings to the company regardless of gender the exception being people hired to achieve a diversity quota which will actually favor women and minorities.

The public sector and industries with a set pay scale are payed equally.  .... by law.

In sports (which is a segment of the entertainment industry) players are paid by their ability to bring viewers.  A good example is the U.S. women's soccer team,  number 1 in the world but who cares?, nobody watches because well they are boring and play like girls.  Yet they demand equal pay to the men that bring in millions of more dollars. On the other hand you have women's tennis which is exiting to watch and full of drama (women LoL) so high interest, high pay.

Well, the whole point of my thread, is to point out that in the day and age of people being nearly tarred and feathered over their darker colored skin, the white man is not exactly innocent, is he? We are a race that is guilty of having committed some of the most horrendous crimes and genocides of the 20th century. So, there is nothing wrong with owning that, and taking some responsibility for that. By no means am I accusing every white American man of possessing these qualities, or being guilty of crimes. But, many are. And that dirty laundry needs to be aired, especially in this moment of leaders professing the vast superiority of the white race.

Wow you really drank the SJW koolade.  ... White guilt much?  guess you never heard of Chairman Mao,  ...  my 55% caucasian self carries 0 guilt.  ... and my 45% non white self blames no race for anything... because I'm not racist...  and just who are the "leaders professing the vast superiority of the white race"?

You posters are fed the bait and then you reply as anticipated by the OP.

I do not now  and never did feel threatened by women.

I think  many  men do feel threatened

There are few if any members of this  board who could hold a candle to the lady whose image I posted.

But there's always a lot of envy and jealousy of the success of others.

I have no idea who that is in the photo.  I assume she is wealthy and a success?  Why would you think a really stupid "feminist" board game would make us feel threatened?    The original Monopoly game is gender neutral ... the genders have equal opportunity, isn't that what we want?
