  1. ok i was just filling in my x3 tourist visa application form and when i checked my passport and i noticed that my current ret-visa re-entry permit is valid till 28/03/2012, and as i'm planning

to stay around six months in los,i wouid appreciate any info regarding the latest availability of tourist visa's in lao,my last attempt there more than a year ago was a disaster and i'm not sure if its

ok switching from a retirement to tourist ect,

a single entry tourist visa will do but if its in anyway dodgy or there is any doubt i will get a triple entry here in the uk to save any bother

    cheers in adavance

  2. about a year ago i got introduced to a neice of my missus, a very atractive 28yr old and if there is such a thing as a nympho she fits the

bill,we were staying at a condo in jomtein and if she called on a visit i found out later that any decent looking farangs would be beded before she left,

she was in a "steady" relationship with a german expat and we discoverd as soon as he left for work she was out and at it with whoever

being quite cute mentaly she mostly got an earner, but she was ambidextorios(pardon the spelling) and frequented kari-oki bars aswell

all of this kept secret from farangs +family untill there was a big fallout between her and her friend, and we found out that that time she was late

meeting the boyfriend and she blamed the heavy rain making her wait for a taxi she was waiting in a horizontal position.

when i spoke to the missus she said "she young lady she like do it allot"

i have been with a uk-chinese bird who sufferd with the same"problem" and after a while getting woken up at all hours every night even trying

to hide her addiction by licking certain parts of my body as i slept, so as i awoke i would be ready for action, all this wears you down after a

couple of years,..............ok i was 24 at the time

  4. sorry to hear your problems but if its any consolation i am also going through a similar patern of true type customer relations experiences

my problem with true visions started around two weeks ago when a bill arived from true for a package i had changed two months ago

as i had moved from udon thani to chonburi i phoned customer services and after i'd explained what had happend i was informed i couldn't

of changed the package as i hadn't produced any i.d, i told them i was not asked for i.d and anyway i had changed the package four months

ago via the phone?phone went dead.i called them back explained the situation and was asked did i want to phone the udon thani shop?

i asked shouldn't that be part of customer relations job to clear up" misunderstandings" phone silent..

their next move(pardon the pun)was for true to phone the wife to tell her it would be simple to cancel true and use the 2k deposit plus cash

towards payment, god knows how many others are going through similar enlightening experience's at the hands of true

note to mod as topic is about true service i don't think

    i'm hi-jacking op thread

  5. just an update on the queen sirkit hospital sattahip.i went to the hospital monday for a range of tests, mainly to check my liverwhich had been diagnosed two years ago in the uk as damaged due to my beer intake. after seven hours i got the results of my blood test the very young doctor told me there was nothing wrong with my liver!!! i was shocked to say the least as i had spent the last two years swigging away and was prepared for the worst. as i was to late for an ultrasound (14.15) i had the lab results copied and went on my merry way,in the car i perused the results in which both the SGOT(AST) and the SGPT(ALT) were over the normal range,so instead of going to celibrate in a bari decided a second opinion might be best. i only asked the doctor what he could tell from the test results,"your liver is very bad" "if you drink you will be yellow very soon"ect.ect. i don't know who is right but i decided to go with the uk drs the second opinion and the fact if you just read the blood test results you can see some figures are 100% over the normal range. so just a warning this is the second hospital i have been to in three weeks that have made a dogsarse of doctoring

  6. i would describe my dealings with ais over the last five weeks the as easily worst treatment i have ever had when dealing with people

who are suposed to be there to help! in fact it was an absolute nightmare!

i bought my air card for around 2890 bht in the telewiz shop in udon thani, after two months of poor speeds

countless droping i moved to the new park lane condo's jomtien, the air card was useless so i rang ais to see if they could help?

the first thing i was told was that although i had purchased a six month contract,i didn't have one?i quoted the price/model no.

and that we'd been told thirty hours a month for six months,my wife is thai and she explained to deaf ears that we had purchased

the 6 moth promo deal.no we hadn't and we would have to go to udon and produce a recipt?

to save time i paid for more air time, every day i would try and connect but could only stay on line for seconds

so over the next two weeks i got to know every english speaker who worked for the call center, most where not interested and couldn't

be botherd,i tried the telewiz shop below tesco on sumkuvit,in the flesh the 3 women could hardly look away from thier makeup mirrors

back on the phone i asked if i could have my air card tested and it was sugested i go to dotcom were another 2 ladies tried my sim

out but had no facility to test the aircard,by this stage i had spoken to a lady supervisor at the call center who now sugested i go to siaracha

one of her colegues also said siracha was my best bet after the fiasco at dotcom i asked if the aircard was faulty would it be repaired or

replaced as it must be under warranty?no it was not coverd the warranty only cover'd a week!!! but provided it was minor it would probably

get fixed at siracha.so off i went the next morning into robinsons and telewiz the three ladys done me proud and helped more in ten minutes

than the rest had done in near three weeks, allthough the sim seemed fine the aircard didn't connect 100% so i asked the girls where was the tech

guy to give the aircard a proper test, they looked a bit bemused as there is no facility in siracha to refurbish or test aircards properly in sirarcha

i phoned ais from the shop and when i asked why customer services at ais send customers on wild goose chase's,with totaly incorrect infomation

as there has never been an air card testing or fixing facility, and was sheepishly informed that they were going to check the facts at some point??

i have since found theese condo's due not get a signal from ais true and even the TOTwi-fi strugles with signal strength.

i rang and told ais that their signal needed boosting they blamed the builders and a parting shot was why was i so reluctant to take my

laptop to siracha did i have something very private on it?well i explained to the moron i hadn't been online long enough due to their company's

    incompetence

  7. I was chatting with someone in KSR who had also been shocked to have just been refused a Tourist visa in Vientiane.

He was given the 15 day land-entry visa. He has been living in Thailand for a number of years and has a Thai wife and children so clearly he is going to have problems.

Seems like the new policies will serve to increase the number of overstays instead of decrease them.

Reason for edit: change 14 days to 15 days

Why should the policies increase the overstays? If the gentlemen you mentioned is married to a Thai, he should have applied for a Non-immigrant "O" Visa, not a Tourist Visa.

well i'm not sure what will happen with regard to overstays?but some of the things that are going on don't make much sense, a senior mod commented on my length of stay

in thailand,(15 months non im "o")but a freind went to lao 2 months ago and got a double entry after 8 years in thailand??and here's another conspricy theory there was one thing that

separated him from me and about 10 other single entry visa runner's. he paid an agent?? i asked the falangs who were all moaning about the veintine consul and all had taken

the cheaper option, and maybe thats what the older thai lady ment when she commented i didn't understand i was already getting a free holiday?? i think she was alluding to

the fact that currently the tr visa's are free, any farang who thinks he knows all the answers in thailand is kidding himself (million'ers excluded of course)TIT

  8. A non immigrate O on what basis? You mention a wife but do not provide nationality.

sorry if my post left some details out i will try and fill in the missing bits first i got my multiple journey

category "o" in hull, i might of put visiting freinds on the form ,but i can't remember as i don't think its

a make or brake situation when applying to hull,if you get my drift.

that was in august 2009,and i married(not registed in bangkok)

in november 2009 to a thai lady, after going to lao same day turnaround in aug 2010 to get the 15months

total,i applied for my first double entry tr visa in ten years,i was refused and given a single entry.

i don't think i made any bad errors on the application form

so now i'm wondering which is best/cheapest//quickest/ is australia an option or is the uk my only course

thanks in anticipation for any pointers

  9. since i was refused a double entry tr visa in veaitine early in november 2010(they granted me a single) my plans have gone down the pan,my last visa an non imigrant o was obtained in the uk

i did not have back to back tr visa's in fact my last tr visa was around 10 years ago(old passport) i'd also purchased a passport with the extra pages but i forgot T.I.T

there were quite few upset falangs, is it a new crack down? who knows?me and my wife tried to get an explanation, but some of the consul staff seemed to revel in

    the situation?

so whats next the uk or aus?the last time i checked the perth consul was shutting down and am not sure if a britsh passport holder

can get still a non imigrant o in aus? if anyone knows if its possible, which city ect i'd be obliged

  10. i'm thinking of getting married around xmass

the only problem is i haven't divorced my x yet

before anyone jumps the gun i've been with my thai girl near five years and have

tested her out if you no what i mean, and if she's out to have me over she deserves

a medal as well as any money she can get. as over 15 years iv'e seen quite a bit in los

no my concern is if i can marry (monks tambon party ect)in the village without my divorce papers

and legalise the wedding in bangkok when my papers come through, say three months later?

i think this is ok? but if any one can put me straight i'd be obliged.

    cheers

  11. ok folks i'm just gona dive right in here,i was talking to a bloke last week who is after a settlement visa for his thai wife and

daughter, his wife got a six month visa last year through an agency this cost 60,000 bht

so now he wants to get a settlement visa for the two of them but the agency have quoted 100,000 bht +flights, i thought this was a bit steep, but as i no nothing about agency's fees , mainly cos i avoid them like the plague,i told the lad thai visa will know but he hadn't even heard of t .v. so if any one can put him straight i'd be obliged.

    cheers

  12. hi lads,i am currently on an a multi entry"o" visa which i got in the uk,to obtain this visa i submited

a bank statement with above 10,000 pounds in the account,i am over fifty and intend to spend as much time in thailand as posible.

i have since been told by several expats that to obtain a multi entry "o"visa in the uk i do not need to produce any bank statements? when i obtained my visa the consul lady did seem a bit unsure, but who can blame her as they move the goal posts every 12 months?any advice would be helpful

    cheers
