As I understand it, 6E is not only related to speed. It does have lower latency, idk, maybe benefiting gamers (but then who would be gaming on a wifi connection). 6E offers a better channel choice in areas of high congestion, 6GHz has a greater range, it also uses WPA3 security. If you are in a high traffic area, with lots of different networks, with a greater chance of someone trying to hack into your network, then I think, if available a $199 router is pretty good value and a worthwhile upgrade.

Just out of interest, what phone uses 6E?

    Samsung S22 Ultra

What benefits do you expect to get (here in Thailand) from 6E?

    PH

Greater efficiency and speed together with more reliable connections. My mobile phone is 6E compatible together with the family also using WiFi at the same time.

  3. Hi, Where can I get a removable (sliding) tray/caddy for my PC in Pattaya?

Tried the usual online sites with no luck (Lazada and Shoppee) They are on there but difficult to see what I need.

    Any shops in Pattaya?

    Cheers, Stuart

Worst case is they shutdown Binance.us and try to do some kind of FATCA-esque move with Binance Global.   That said, I don't keep the bulk of my funds on any exchange so whatever happens it'll be about as inconvenient as having to go to Burger King instead of Whataburger.

Thanks for your reply. I believe Binance no longer operate in the US, is that correct?

All red have covid in last 3 days - only 5 provenience with no reports of covid.  Yes you are required to do 90 day reports, by mail or in person.  As for amount in each location have no idea and would not mean much as most people do not get tested until after others have - there is no safe place - you just take precautions and hope for the best.

Is it ok to travel to the Lumpini Condo 24 area of Bangkok this coming week?

  6. Is there a shop selling a wide range of mirror dash cams in Pattaya?

The shops I have seen only have one or two very basic mirror dash cams on offer. I do not wish to purchase online though I may well end up doing just that....

    Tanks for any help!

And yes you can renew even after it expires. I think there's a 1 year period where you can renew if it expires without having to start again from scratch

Many thanks for your help. I have been told they are now insisting you renew prior to expiry. Good to hear otherwise!

  8. What are the latest requirements to renew a 5 year driving license here in Pattaya?

I know you need a residence form from immigration, what else a medical certificate? Do we need to book an appointment or just show up at 7:30am?

Can we still renew a week or so after our license has expired? Many thanks for any positive info!!

  9. Yes. As@ubonjoe explained, you must either have been married to the mother at the time of the birth, or be legitimised as the father in order to apply for the annual extension. Otherwise, the requirements are similar to those when applying for an extension based on marriage to a Thai, including the same financial requirement.
Is the extension process (father of a Thai child) similar to an annual retirement extension or marriage extension (send to Bangkok etc) ?

  10. Are you wanting a single or multiple entry non-o visa? As far as I know they will only do a single entry based upon being the parent of a Thai.
You will need your child's birth, copy of it and a copy of their house book registry.
The fee is $80 US for a single entry or $200 for a multiple entry.
I wish to apply for a visa based upon being the parent of a Thai child. Changing from a retirement visa/extension. What forms do I need to do this?
