So yours is currently equivalent to a 2.6MB connection. People are always confusing their bits with their bytes (and hopefully not byting their bits).

But if he was quoting "bits" per second vs bytes per second since he did use a lower case "b" which means bits vs an upper case "B" for bytes. If the 335kbps was in "bits", this would only be about 42 KB (bytes)/second...if so, yeap he's running slow.

I just tried to use my utorrent. Nothing works. I'm in Rayong. If they blocked torrents then they have lost a customer. I'll wait for a few more days and if it still dosen't work I'll go cancel my subscription with tot. I bet they will lose a ton of customers. And what right do they have to stop us using torrents? i have a complaint at the office every month and have had for 2 years - sometimes its ok other times is very very slow and yes at least 4 times a month it aint on - and every time they say - the fibre optic cable is broken - full of shit and excuses! how can the cable be broken every month????

Also they do piggy back the cables in the housing areas - there could be upto to 8 houses connected - so if all are on - ITS SLOW

as far as down loading is going it has been fine the last couple of days - ask for a discount on your bills - i did and do get it everytime its not working about 50 baht a day roughly...give or take. Unfortunately evrywhere sells products but DO NOT have the infastructure or the know how to provide customer support - and for all the idiots that say TIT - <deleted>! everyone needs to politely argue thier point and things will get done! Thats if the Thais complain as well

Is there any point in saying there is a state of emergency in BK - when everybody is clearly going about their business in the same manner as always.... yes you can go out and have a drink etc etc!

It would be amazing if the police etc would eventually make a reasonable assumption why, what the target was? - no one actually believes it can be big c - however in nearly all these type of cases we will never find out.

As far as affecting the tourism - the currencey exchange here is affecting tourism more than anything!!!!!!! the price to come here is very expensive - ie the GBP is at 48 baht - 4 years ago it was 76 - i know, its when i first came here.

Anyway the golf courses have increased their prices every year etc etc - there is definately no incentive to come to Thailand - who really cares if the visa payment is free the rest of the spending in the country is high!

Visit a national park or attraction - there are prices for Thai and Foriegner - example - national park enterance fee Thai 40 baht- foriegner 400 baht - RIDICULOUS!!!

What about the 150 baht rip off at the ATM cash points - there are so many things stopping tourists coming out here, all the confusion with the government only adds to it.
