  3. Hi Guys

As always Thanks for the Feedback always helpful.

Just tried ringing Hua Hin Immigration on 032 - 653617 and 032 522 656 No response but hey no problem!

Unless I hear otherwise will work on the 30 days deadline.

    Cheers

Since you will apply for the income letter by post from the UK embassy you can wait to get it a few weeks before plan on applying for the extension. See here for info: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/how-to-obtain-a-pensionincome-letter-for-thai-immigration

Thanks for the Link Ubonjoe - All saved - Cheers!

  4. Are you married to a Thai and seeking a 12 month extension of stay ?

If so you will need 400,000 in a Thai Bank for 2 months or a certified monthly income of 40K

You can apply during the last 30 days of your 90 day stay.

A Proof of Income letter is valid for six months.

    Hi SunnyJim

Not married to a Thai - Single guy 55.

Pension letter showing income more than 65, 000B to get the proof of income letter.

Seem to be a lot of conflicting reports concerning the validity of these letters from 30 days to 6 months - Must be a few months!

    Thanks for the response!

  5. Hi All

    Hopefully someone assist please?

    1. How Long is the 'Proof of Income Letter' from the British Embassy valid for please as I need to make the One year extension in Hua Hin showing income per month? Obviously I do not want to get it too early!

    2. My current Non Immigration O Multiple entry expires on the 21st April 2016. I arrive in BKK on the 19th April and will get another 90 days entry.

Do I have to make the one year extension before the 21st April or can it be in July when the 90 days is up - Confused Very!

    As always Thanking in advance!

  6. I know from Phuket you can do a day visa-run trip to ranong for only 1500thb about 7am-7pm. Better to stay safe and avoid any overstays if at all possible. I dont know where you are but im sure you can find a visa run for a similar price or cheaper.

    I always use these guys:

  7. Hi Guys & Girls

Im currently on a One Yr Multiple Entry Non Immigration 'O' Visa valid till next March 2014

I entered Thailand on the 6th June 2013 and my 90 days expires on the 3rd September.

Im due to fly to the Uk on the 5th September 2 days after this current stamp expires

Is it possible to extend with the 7 days at Immigration for 1900 B on this visa?

Is it worth paying the overstay for 2 days and cost??

I will be returning to Thailand several weeks later so obviously dont want any problems later!

  8. Hi

I just bought a car in Chonburi last month

I went to the Licensing Office at Prachuap Kirikhani with the Blue Registration book, Passport and a Letter of Residence from Immigration and filled out a form.

The Office is located just before u get to Prachuap kirikhani on RIGHT hand side travelling from Hua Hin. Light Purple coloured Building. When you pass the Nissan & Isui Dealer on the RIGHT side do a 'U' turn back to the Registration office. About 1 hr 20 from HH.

    They check the car!

    Paid a few hundred Baht.

7 days later returned and collected new local number plates, new tax etc. Hand in your old plates!

Ideally You need some one Thai for the translation.

  9. No, you apply for an "O-A" outside of Thailand, and you don't need to do that if you are already here. Just apply for a one year extension of permission to stay, based on retirement. Apply with about 30 days remaining on one of your entries, and if all your documents are in order, should be granted same day.

    Hi Beechguy

Yes already here! So last 30 days of one of my entries I can apply for the One Yr Extension based on retirement, NO more border runs hopefully!

    Thanks all clear now biggrin.png

I would just check with your immigration office on their version of the required documents, income statement, bank letter, etc, and go prepared. Good luck.

    Yes will check with Immigration.

Believe it will be completed TM7 with photograph, Passport copy with TM bit inside, proof of income letter from British Embassy and House Registration book copied and fee of 1900B.

On a border run now, returning to BKK next wednesday. I did plan to visit the Uk Embassy in BKK on the Friday to get the proof of income letter. Then apply for the extension but I guess this will be a wasted journey. Like you said ....last 30 days of current entry.

Learning all the time with these visa's....but just about there now!

    Cheers biggrin.png

  11. Good Day All, Hope you all good?

Im currently on a Non immigration Multiple Entry Category '0' visa valid till next year.

BUT .......These visa runs are becoming a PAIN.

Is there anything that I can change here in Thailand or do I need to return to UK?

Is it possible to make the retirement 'OA' Visa here in Thailand as I fit all the criteria. (Age and bank)

Ideally looking for 90 day reporting at local immigration.

    Confused ....Com

    Thanks w00t.gif

  12. Dansinkorn (spelling?) border just south of PKK....

Here's an article from the Bangkok Post about a week ago that talks about it and two other crossings that will be opened.

    http://www.bangkokpost.com/breakingnews/347063/three-new-border-crossings-to-open

The Singkhorn temporary pass in Prachuap Khiri Khan's Muang district will be opened as a new permanent checkpoint between Thailand and Myanmar on Wednesday, May 8, 2013.

    http://www.bangkokpost.com/breakingnews/348660/singkhorn-pass-new-permanent-checkpoint-to-myanmar

Does anyone know if and when this will be Ok for Visa Runs?

    Cheers!

  13. Pure is just before the overpass (over the railroad) on the south of town (at the Takiab Rd intersection) on the right side of the road going south (going south do the u-turn under the over-pass to return to Hua hin and heading north again you can enter by turning left into a small road next to their shop before re-entering Petchkasem Rd.) There are a lot of Pure shops now in town but I had visited many of them and I think that Rose at this shop is very good and she speaks excellent English. If you wish to make mineral water instead of just purified water my wife sells systems that cost about 30,000 baht and are US made.

    Belated Thanks!!

Yes several members have recommended this company so I will pay them a visit!

    I just need something basic.

    Thanks for your time!
