I RECENTLY BOUGHT 4 ITEMS, ALL DELIVERED SEPARATELY. One driver found my house with no instructions. The other 3 could not read maps or know enough to go to the post office and ask.

I speak no Thai. For 2 of them there were no Thai people nearby to talk to the moron. The driver replied to his office that I never answered the phone - a total lie!

So, I got delivers 50% of the time. Lazada support was NO help. They just told me to deal with the delivery company.

Update..! Yesterday afternoon I emailed Lazada support, I informed them I had posted a complaint about my refund on “pissedcomsumer.com” and included the link in the email.. Early this morning I got a phone call from Lazada support, a Lady informed me, I would receive the refund in my Bank within 4 business days....

Starting from when?.......................

Why not a refund IMMEDIATELY? Lazada - from my several times experience - would not last in the Eastern World (especially America) for 2 months. I recently made 2 orders. I got one, when my Thai neighbor told them how to get to my house on my phone). The second shipment, the independent delivery man only spoke Thai. I speak no Thai. No Thai person was around to talk to this clown, Finally an English speaking lady from the delivery company called me and I asked her if the driver could read a MAP! Or if he can't perform that simple task, then go to the post office and ask. They know exactly where my house is, and they're only 1KM away. The clown never delivered. They are a HORRIBLE company! No customer service that works.

The Thai public education system is a JOKE! Now it is a belly-laugh!

During my 11 years here, I have asked at least 100 Thais - mostly girls I met in Pattaya or BK -the following questions. NO ONE knew the correct answer!

1. What is the population of Thailand?

2. Does Thailand have more people than China. No one picked China?

3. Did you know your king is a "dual national" American citizen and Thai citizen? Even when shown the proof from a Google search, NO ONE believed me. (We are all just dumb faw-longs.)

4. What countries border Thailand? I received a RARE correct answer of one of the countries.

Public Thai education is obviously intentionally dumbed-down! My next door neighbor teaches 12 - 14 year old kids. She does not know who to use a computer! Enough said.

WHO PAYS IN THE END? The kids of course and the country remains at the bottom of many international lists. The whole system should be criminally indicted!

I am a retired U.S. lawyer. From the facts given you did EVERYTHING wrong.

First, you should have hired a GOOD Thai lawyer. It would have cost you far, far less in the end to have everything done properly.

Anyone who tries to represent himself in legal matters has a fool for a client.

And it is extremely difficult to believe you did not have the sense to try the fixtures BEFORE paying money.

And the dumbest move - paying all that money with no legal lease or full inspection of the premises.

I receive dollars from the U.S. There always seems to be a wide difference between the published "Buy-Sell Rate" and what is offered at the ATM. Anyone have any researched facts about which bank gives the best rates?

One thing to keep in mind about my situation is that living outside the country has NOTHING to do with me. I have maintained the same Atlanta address and U.S. bank account for years. As far as everyone is concerned - including my clients - I live and work in Atlanta.

So my initial question is whether U.S. citizens residing in the U.S. receive and have to file this notice. I am 75. I have never received such a notice. I have never missed one SS payment in 15 years. I have been an expat for 20 years living and traveling to many countries.

Answers would be GREATLY appreciated from those residing now in the U.S.

That would not provide much "proof of life", as some people call this routinem, if that is actually one of their purposes.

The year that the mail lost mine I emailed it to Manila. There is a phone number on the form if they want to call and check and you have to present a passport to the bank to pick up the money. You rarely get a form if you get your money at a US bank and I imagine that is where most of the fraud is going on.

I have had the same U.S. address for years (I don't think the IRS is even aware of it) I received my SS payments direct to my U.S. bank account - same account for many years.

This is the first I have ever heard of this form / letter. I have not qualified for the requirement to file a tax return in years, and I have not done so in years.

Should I let "the sleeping dog lie" or should I notify the IRS of my address and try to find this form online and file it? I prefer to let the dog sleep, but I do not want toeopardize my NEEDED SS payments.

Does anyone know if Americans receiving SS payments IN the U.S. are receiving this form? Or is this just for Americans living outside the U.S.?

I have traveled to over 50 countries and lived for at least 6 months in 7. I have found good AND evil people in every place I lived and visited. And it is VERY nice to hear such a beautiful story here in Thailand!

It is extremely dangerous to be in a pool that does not have a sufficient level of chlorine. In public pools kids DO pee in there all time time.
