  1. one question, is your home alone for, lets say 1 or 2 month or maybe longer ? In this case, a single PoE injector is better, cause when only one part has a failure, the other cams are still working. The disadvantage, the red ans are loving the power sockets, the lifetime of the cams outside is really limited, avoid high temperatures, a cam under an old true satellite dish will have a longer lifetime, than a cam under the sun. If you have 5 cams, buy 10 cams and configurate them, that every cam has its ready to use spare part. Its all about life - work balance, so place the cams on "easy to reach" positions, where the replacement is not a dangerous act. The outsite power lines should have an RCBo, but if you leave the house for a longer period, you should bridge the RCBO, cause in case, if its activated, all your outdoor cams are dead.
