If you have crossed a land bridge on a multi 3 times do they count that against the 2 times rule??
-
If your Non-0 multi (1 year) is about to run out and you cross land bridge to get a final 90 days, can you get a re-entry on that 90 day stamp ? (1 year + 90)

No problem at Mae sot for a border run people have been doing it with no troubles.

Just did a 90 day in Tak, had already filled in one form when I renewed my visa, but was asked to fill in one again, mentioned that I all ready had done one the officer said thank you and gave me a different form that asks if any info has changed from the first time i filled one out. Asked the reason , answer to check to see if your address had changed, in the past they would do that on line with a verbal question , still in and out in less than 5 mins!

.Would like to know if anyone coming from Australia [likely on QANTAS] using new passport with visa and re-entry in cancelled passport has had any problems getting on flight. Any return ticket over 30 days they want to see a visa. Travel agent has been checking with Qantas with no luck so far. Thanks

The bigger worry would be that after living here for 25 of 30 years and being on a fixed pension that with a stroke of a pen you would need 1.5 or 2 million baht in a bank to stay on a retirement or marriage visa, please don't start with if you don't have enough money you should not be here, i'm talking when you are 70 plus and your home is Thailand.

Has anyone had any experience getting passport photos taken in CM for a Canadian passport renewal. Canada has specific shoulder to top of the head sizes for the pic and I am getting no where fast in Tak. I have called the consulate but no one has gotten back to me. THANKS

Need some advice, a friends passport has run out of pages he has applied for a new Passport. He is going to BKK to pick it up next week. At the same time his 60 day visa is about to run out. Can he go to a border crossing stamp out then use his new passport to get a 15 day stamp in? Or does he have to get his stamp moved at Immigration to his new passport so he would have a stamp out and back in his new passport?

Yes but Tak is listed in the list of provinces? We have no water here.

Can anyone confirm if Mae sot Tak immigration office will be closed for holidays?
-
HI buses are running, but the question is why are you going to CM to do your 90 report when you can go to the immigration office at the bridge and get it done in 5 mins there Monday to Friday, unless you like bus rides.

This was posted by a friend and I don't know the answer?
This report of a pleasant visa surprise is for retirees like myself. I know some of you will not believe me (as one already has told me), so I hope to see some discussion that will help to confirm or rebut what I have learned. I have been in Thailand 9 months with a multiple-entry O-A retirement visa. A couple days ago, I asked a retiree friend who has been here a number of years for advice on extending or renewing it. I was shocked to hear that I was supposed to register every 3 months with immigration, otherwise face fines. It was the first I had heard about it. So I went down to the immigration office at the bridge to clear things up, taking some money so that I could pay the fines if necessary. But the two ladies at the desk for foreigners told me quite clearly that with an O-A visa I did not need to register. Furthermore, I did not need to extend or renew the visa to stay another year. All I need to do is leave the country and return before one year from the date on which the visa was issued. Upon re-entry, my passport will be stamped good for another year, and that is all there will be to it. Has anyone learned the same or different?

Trust me it is very closed and has been for closed for about 14 months.

Mae sot is still closed, and does not look to be close to opening. It is now been closed for close to a year.

Thanks for the info, I will be up in CM next week and will check them out.

Hi I am looking for 24 or 36 beer bottle cooler sleeves. Do they sell them in CM? I need the ones with no advertising on them. Also is there a bar supply wholesale business in CM to pickup some bar accessories. I know that Central has them but I am looking for wholesale. Before you ask this is not for a new bar CM, we are doing a extension to a restaurant that has been in business for 12 years. Thanks for any help.

Closed since July last year, its going to be a long time before it re-opens. As soon as it does I will post it.

I totally agree, breaking the law is breaking the law. I called a friend in Maesot, he says the talk in town is that John Sanlin, a Burmese passport holder is also a Australian Passport holder. So the story is a little miss leading. Also just to add to the DRAMA, Pascal Schatterman, a Belgian national is Deaf Mute. Now if I was to go into a rebel fighting zone he would be the last person I would take!!. He also tells me that this a daily happening, and they were just unlucky or set up by someone to add a little drama to the KNU-SPC battles.
