Next time by there, stop into Herrity's, located between the Hood and the Oak. Only been there twice but service was pretty good and the outdoor terrace quite comfortable. Got there for happy hour pints just in time (8 pm). I ordered one and I was asked if I wanted to order more at the happy hour price. I did and so they served them as I needed them.

The Londoner is off the beaten path for me. The only reason I'll go out there is for the brew pub beer. I'm just not confident we will see that beer any time soon. However, I hear they're doing great business, with huge Thai clientele.

It's already being served.. 3 beers. An IPA, a low carb and the Pilsner. 150 baht a pint all day

Also consider that a pub the size of the Robin Hood will have overheads of something like 1.5 million baht per month, without paying for stock.

Which on busy month would be close to another 1.5 million baht.

You have to sell a lot of food and beverage to cover those overheads and then make enough profit to make it all worth while.

    Correct

Nothing to do with being imported. As can be read in this thread, it is sold for much less than that in Thailand elsewhere. Try reading through the thread.

And btw, Guiness is Irish not English.

Lets break this down shall we.. A keg of Guinness costs 7120 Baht for 55 pints = 129 baht Cost per pint to purchase for the bars.  This does not include staffing costs(low in pattaya/high in bangkok) rental costs(low in pattaya/high in bangkok).  An industry standard beverage cost is 30%, any bar selling you a guinness at 250, is selling their beer at a 50% cost, add the staffing and rental costs, utilities etc then you are looking at a 65%-70% cost for a pint of guinness in bangkok, so the bars would be making less per pint than your shophouse in pattaya... everything is relative

  4. The clubhouse in suk 23 is open from 7 am for all the event including the fight pass prelims. Probably the most knowledgeable crowd for ufc in bangkok and has been putting on Ufc events for years.

Full Metal Dojo will be bringing a couple of their ring girls this week. Stowford pints 180 through

  5. The Gorditas are awesome, they usually have it for their buffet lunch/dinner... There is one on Saturday 31st.. I'm taking the evening off to go for Margaritas and more Margaritas and lots of delicious food

  6. A little bit further afield El Mariachi on Srinakarin Road is outstanding... Mexican cook and authentic as anywhere I have eaten.. Charlie Browns doesn't even come close.. I would highly recommend... At the end of the month, they have a buffet as well which is always packed out

  7. I downloaded BF4 via PSN and the bloody thing gives me error messages and crashes all the time.. Can't join rush games or Conquest, but TDM Ok.. really don't understand why.. I have a feeling it is IP related as have just recently moved to True, and can also noty install game downloads from PSN on my PS3(never gets past 14%)

Never had this sort of problem with 3BB...

    Anyone else having problems?

    BTW PSN = CxxKBlocker

  8. Do you think the PS4 will drop in price much within next few months here in BKK? Trying to see if worth holding out. Does BKK have Jan sales on stuff like this?

Looking at huge sales and success of ps4 I don't think so price is gonna drop anytime soon, however If you want one cheap now I suggest u ask any friend of yours who might be coming to bkk to hand carry it from either the states which costs there only approximately 12000 baht or hand carry it from hong Kong which costs there 13500 baht. Do note its going to be hard to find ps4 in the stock in US retailing for the official price due to overwhelming high demand in christmas .

1 usd is now 32.7X baht, not 30 baht anymore.

399.95 usd + 7-8% state tax in USA for PS4 should cost 14K baht. PS4 in HK should cost 14.4k baht.

New batch of PS4s will be sold for 18,200 baht in nadzproject and several other stores due to weak baht.

The point is since retail shops here are already importing from Singapore (16500 baht) which is already much more expensive than the equilavent in HK. If they would have imported from hk , the cost could have been 2-2.5 k lower. However, I believe in every sense it is better to buy the SG models and pay extra just to get the Sony regional warranty

Shariq a question for you... How are you accessing Netflix through your Ps3... and are you getting everything in HD?

    Regards

    MH
