  1. From xcopy /?

/D:m-d-y Copies files changed on or after the specified date.

If no date is given, copies only those files whose

source time is newer than the destination time.

I believe that is what you are looking for. Unless you meddle with the dates of the files some way.

But I agree with above, rsync is by far better and more advanced choice, it has an algorithm to copy only the deltas in case a larger file has changed plus other advanced options.

    Very convenient for backups too.

  2. I can not see that it say that, anywhere on your link. It say this;

"The visa processing fee is 60 euros and it is charged when the application is submitted. The fee shall be paid in Thai baht at the valid rate of exchange. The applicant pays the fee at the bank with the bank transfer form given from the Embassy. The processing fee is non-refundable."

Just a humble suggestion, put on your reading glasses and scroll down about 15 lines, then you will see the quote I pasted.

The same information is also available from all Finnish embassy web pages from all countries, in english also. :)

  3. "Switzerland (For a traveller with valid Schengen visa only)"

IF you have a valid Schengen visa anyway, you can visit anywhere in Europe (within Schengen area eg France and Germany etc etc etc). It is free to anyone married to a UK citizen. We are looking into this for my Thai daughter-in-law and Thai family (family must apply in Bangkok and pay a fee).

I agree about Scotland - that is our Plan B, if they don't all get their Schengens in time.

A Schengen Visa is not free. And she must have a letter from some guarantor, that invite her and will pay the costs concerning the stay, unless she have the money for it herself.

She must also have a valid health insurance, that covers all the Schengen countries for the 3 month stay. She must also have a return ticket.

Just contact your embassy, and you will find out. My wife is dealing with such things for people every day.

Well atleast for my wife it _is_ free, from the Finnish embassy, a standard Schengen visa, due to the fact that we are married. No need for insurance either, although it is a very good idea to have anyway. Will normally be granted without any hassle in a few days.

  4. Have you tried Firefox, because it certainly doesn't happen to me? Not even sure if this could be a reason, just trying to eliminate possibilities.

Tried, no help, it is the browser I am using all time

    No help using chromium either

cant use ie not on windows

  5. Thread

    Thread

Have a look through these recent Threads, it might help

None of those help, thank you for the suggestion though.

Breaking news still keeps popping up and moving the whole screen up/down every time. :)

I guess I have to find another site to look for information, this is now unusable for me.

Just weird how something that silly is forced upon you, specially when the news are old most of the time :D

    Cheers

  6. Please do not advise people to tamper with there passports - they belong to your government and any such action is a federal offense (severity depending on your country). You could be looking at serious jail time.

Atleast on my passport it does not state anywhere that it is the property of the goverment, it only states that it is my passport. I guess the scandinavian countries are a bit more free than some others. :)

But agreed, you should not mess with your passport in any way!

  7. Hello again.

Can't edit above post so here's an update.

I managed to get the XP working 100% by enabling the ACPI thingy. However that same trick does NOT work on Windows 95 - that virtual machine still hangs at the boot splash.

I need that to work, any ideas..?

    Kind regards.....

    Thanh

Hmm make sure that the virtual HD for win95 is not sata, also make sure you have USB disabled as well as USB wasn't available in the Windows 95 days.

Sorry nothing else comes to mind.

Remember to check all the settings regarding the vm's when using virtualbox.

There is a good forum for vbox as well on their site.

Been using for roughly 2 years now and have been very happy, used vmware before that.

  8. Thai men like to play snooker and its a very big competitive sport here . Have you ever played against a Thai and won the game ? Many that I have played, to me are like proffessionals ,considering the amount of time they spend in these snooker halls it suprises me that there are not more top players like Wattana on the Pro Circuit .

The bar girls are also like professional pool players, not easy to beat one , have you tried ?

Bargirls prosessional? Come on, if you even know the working end of the cue you are playing, you know they can

    t play shit :)

Some of the thai guys are pretty good though, but most of the crack under pressure, prolly the reason they don't do so well in international games.

  9. Change the port you are using from your torrent client, also only accept encrypted connections.

    HTH

Could you please elaborate :) ? I've been using uTorrent quite successfully for two years or more (Vuze doesn't work either) Also, what do you mean by 'encrypted connections'? Just for the laymen in our midst. Thankyou.

Both are changed from uTorrent, don't recall the exact place since I don't use it so much.

But in the settings there is a place for the port to use for incoming connections, by default 6881, also on the settings is a place to select that you will only accept encrypted connections. Changing both will make it hard for the ISP's to limit your torrent traffic. Naturally it won't have any effect if the ISP is limiting you total bw usage.

If you do change the port for the incoming connections, remember to make the same change on the modem's port forwarding settings, unless you are using upnp of course.

  10. Come on guy, you bought a laptop, then broke it and are now blaming the shop/manufacturer because you have butterfingers and cannot take care of your own computer, give me a break. You are the reason that the prices keep going up. Reclaiming everything on insurance.

    Grow up!

  11. No, the aircraft capable of carrying 500+ make up less than 0.5%

It's no wonder some people are nervous fliers with the way some people go off without checking facts first. You're on the internet already, look it up.

    :) :

The 747-8 Intercontinental is the only jetliner in the 400- to 500-seat market, stretched 5.6 m (18.3 ft) from the 747-400 to provide 467 seats in a three-class configuration and a 14,815-km (8,000-nmi) range. Using 787-technology engines, the airplane will be quieter, produce lower emissions, and achieve better fuel economy than any competing jetliner.

The 777 seats from 301 to 368 passengers in a three-class configuration with a range capability of 5,240 nautical miles (9,700 km) to 9,395 nautical miles (17,395 km).

According to wikipedia the Airbus A380 can seat between 525 and 853! people with a range of 15,200 km (8,200 nmi, 9,400 mi)

    :D

  12. The problem is that because Thailand is rotten to the core with corruption, Internationally they have a difficult task of convincing the public that a real crime has been committed against them and that no scamming was involved.

I am sure that if this CCT footage had not been published, judgment would have been in favour of the perpetrators against the Thai law enforcers.

These thieves' should be given a criminal record on file in Thailand and their home countries, plus a lifetime ban from entering Thailand again.

I think that the whole situation should have been handled according to the Thai law since the (still alledged) act happened in Thailand. Without any corruption naturally.
