  1. I'll paraphrase an article from the International Express 9-15 July where it says:

Amendments are being prepared for approval by UK MP's that will require everyone, citizens and visitors alike, to report change of name or address within ninety days, failure to do that will result in a fine of up to GBP 1,000. Interestingly the article does not suggest this is a new bill but more an amendment to existing legislation so I guess it's a done deal.

It makes me wonder how some Thai based expats will manage with this new law, especially those that "live" in Thailand but also "live" in the UK for reasons of the UK benefits they wish to maintain. And by benefits I refer initially to medical benefits although the scope could include other items as well.

Hilarious tory propaganda from the express

Would'nt surprise me if its true though....

Luckily the government won't be around long enough for this nonsense to become law....will they?? :)

  2. Why do I never see packets of crisps and nuts for sale behind the expat bars? I have a bar nibble that I would like to market to the expat bar fraternity and prepared to invest in but am curious as to the lack of crisp and peanuts for sale. Is it prohibited to sell those items behind the bar?

    Any enlightenment appreciated.

Thai food is cheaper and healthier I guess?

    Just supply and demand...

  3. Don't understand the earlier part of your thread at all but december is a good time to come over for sure....

    Have a safe trip! :D

Sorry. I am at work and multitasking. My earlier post was only to say I was moving my trip back to high season to avoid the problems that may arise during low season. Thats all.

Guess I just felt like talking haha :D

Excuse me, is your boss a TV member? I'd kinda like to send him/her a message. :)

    :D:D:D:D
  4. Is someone drip feeding him sodium pentathal?

Just keeping on topic. I know how folks either fight our talk around a poster to try have their type of fun. I figure I will just keep the post interesting and informative to those who simply lurk :)

One thing I think is funny... Folks who are happy to overpay.. Why? :D

Staying on topic....Having read the response are you coming to Thailand or not? :D

  5. The normal way to proceed with this situation would be blood tests (to check haemoglobin -if you have any bleeding)

Gastroscopy-to make sure there is no gastric or duodenal ulcer

Colonoscopy-checking the lower bowel is ok

if they are all clear then wait and see....

certainly not cutting you open <deleted>!!

  6. It might be worth consulting a neurourgeon for this type of thing ..possibly microsurgery etc..

    Totally agree with Bumrungrad Hospital

Make sure you get an experienced surgeon though . Can't recommend in Thailand but if you want a recommendation in the UK PM me

    Good luck
