You would need to leave a residence certificate, signed passport and visa copies, signed forms of 2 transfer documents for the DLTand the green book signed in the right place
Remember the residence certificate will only be valid as long as your visa is valid as the date is put on the document.
A lot easier to sell it before you leave, pm me if you want to sell it

Hi Roath, I am looking to buy a vehicle here but have been put off because I come on a 30 day visa was told I could not buy. But you seem to be saying that I just have to go to any imm office with a few receipts from the hotel I am staying at, at the time and ask for a residency certificate correct?.
Then I can buy
What happens if later I want to sell it but I have moved on from the hotel, Any problems?
Sorry if I seem a bit thick, I am new to all of this so any help/advice will be appreciated regarding documents etc.
Thanks to you and any others who answer this.
if you sell it in the future you need another residency certificate, does not matter if you moved hotels or house

You wll need only a copy of the blue book to renew your tax. you will of course have to pay the backlog of tax
You will also need a new Por ror bor (compulsory government insurance) before they will renew the tax
You can renew the por ror bor and tax disc at any DLT office in the country so get it done before you drive to bkk
-
spoonman you must be using an agent to do the transfer if the bike or the car is not needed at DLT
-
vehicle needs to be present at time of name change cos they have to check vin numbers with the book etc
You must do the name change at the same DLT where the truck is registered

And the Por Ror Bor compulsory insurance
Yon can't get a road tax sticker unless you show the compulsory insurance which is issued as a headed document.
I keep my road tax and compulsory insurance together, so renewed the same day.
yes I know that but OP asked what documents he should have now.
You forgot to tell him he should have por ror pbor
