1. Hardly any Euro girls in Ko Chang in March, be flipping wet there when your off and if you think Patts is bad in the rain then way hay that place is mental.

Happy to know as now i'm moving away from the young party age (now 28) there isn't a fock of younger wannabees yet. PHEW! in still a young sexy man

Nah we're not going to Ko Chang for girls... we're just going there to relax for a few days. I'm pretty worried about the weather.. but hopefully there's enough periods during which it doesn't rain to enjoy ourselves.

:) I hope for your sake that my friends and I aren't just the exception to the rule, and you can enjoy a couple more decades of being a young sexy man

  2. Hey everyone,

I read that there used to be quite a popular all-you-can-drink deal at Cat House (Nana Plaza) between 2-7pm daily.

I was wondering if such beer buffets still exist anywhere in Bangkok? If so, where and how much??

I believe the Pullman may have one, but it might be just for guests...

    Thanks in advance :)

  3. No problem, it is a great place for a stopover, I do always go hunting for some european non-working girls, but as the alcohol kicks in everything is the same :)

I were at PhiPhi Islands 3 weeks ago and that is not my last time, it was full of traveling people and very few thais. A real backpacker place with parties and beachparties all night.

I haven't been to Koh Chang yet I have heard a lot about it from my thaifreinds, but not western, so I am curios how it is like for the younger western party genration?

Haha I know what you mean... I just found it so strange that I'd see so many gorgeous European girls during the day, and NONE at night!

Don't get me wrong, many Thai girls are very beautiful... but just not my preference.

Koh Chang actually has quite a few Europeans.. I went there with my girlfriend last time, and met a lot of Swedish & English girls. It's not really a 'party' place (I stayed on White Sands Beach), but really good to relax and to just talk with people.

I've not been to PhiPhi Islands, but I'd love to.. :D

  4. comming to Thailand to meet Euro Girls?

why you Guys do not bring your own Euro Girls with you along?

or did you mean € Girls ?

I brought my Swedish girlfriend last time... we have since broken up.

Funnily enough, not everybody goes on holiday just to get stuck into the local women. I love Thailand, but I'm not that into Thai girls. Everybody has personal preferences.

Some of the European/American/Aussie girls on Khao San Road BKK are amazing.. and very amenable to spending the night with a fellow traveller! lol

  5. Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone knows any nightspots with plenty of European/Russian girls??

My friends and I are 20-21-23 year old Australians/English and not really into the 'bar' scene (not that there's anything wrong with it) and prefer European girls (don't shoot me :D ) to Thai.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi,

I understand your "concern" I am living here in Pattaya as 21-years old, because I moved my IT business from Denmark to Thailand.

You will not find a 100% "Eurogirl" club, because there is only very few girls comming here from "the West" and also few guys on my age. There is one go-go bar in town with "European girls only" (Read Russian girls) But keep away from that place, I have heard of a lot of people being ripped off in there.

There is three places (nightclubs) I come, the best one is Insomnia by far, I love the music and you can actually find non-working girls in there. If I should suggest other places it would be Walking Street(The club), Mixx in the "Pattaya sign" end of Walking street next to Starbucks, and Lucifer. Luficer is beginning to have too many freelance girls, but you need some places to go before Insomnia get's filled 2-3 o'Clock.

Mixx were also a very good place to come 2 years ago, but is looks like the Russian economy kept them away from Thailand.

I always bring my european freinds to the fun club "What's up" the first time they come to Pattaya, only to see their <deleted>?!? face, they have girls hanging from the roof and in a jacuzzi:)

When have you planned to come here? Feel free to mail me at <snip>

    Jakob

    Thanks for your reply!

I've seen a few people mention Insomnia... so I'll have to check it out.

We'll be there just for 2 nights 15 & 16 July, as a stopover on our way to Koh Chang (from Bangkok).

I've been to Pattaya before and saw loads of Swedish and Russian girls during the day and at restaurants... but never at night!

I meant non-working girls by the way, so hopefully some are out there...!

I've never heard of What's up club.... sounds amusing :)

  7. Hi everybody,

I've been thinking about possible inroads into Thailand in terms of work etc, and have realised that it will be quite difficult for me to get a job there (with the help of forum users) because my two qualifications relate to 'protected' industries: Law & Accounting.

However, I've been thinking maybe I could trial for a football club there. I'm by no means the world's greatest player, but I play here in Australia in the Victorian Premier League, which is semi-professional. I don't take it too seriously, because it is always treated as secondary to work.

A lot of players from this league have directly transferred to the premier leagues in Malaysia, Singapore etc, as well as Australia's 'A-League'.

I was just wondering if anybody has information on how to actually trial with a club, and whether it would be worth my while.

I'm 22 years old and have played in the VPL (previously VPL U20s) for the last 6 years. I also had trials with a couple of English clubs when I was 14-15, but nothing came to fruition.

    Thanks in advance!!

  8. Could somebody please explain to me their disdain for Khao San Road?

While I've never stayed there, many of my friends (late teens & early 20s) have, basically because they felt comfortable around other foreigners and given their age didn't want to spend too much money on accomodation.

Khao San is one of my favourite places in Bangkok, and 99% of the people I have met there have been lovely. I've met many Germans, Britons, Swedes, Americans, Irish etc... male and female, old and young, and have never had any problems whatsoever.

Of course when somebody who hasn't exposed to Thailand is going to give a 50 year old man with a 25 year old Thai girl a strange look. Exactly the same thing would occur anywhere else in the world.

However, these Americans you have encountered just seem to be a bunch of <deleted>. You will find pockets of them anywhere in Bangkok, and anywhere in the world for that matter.

From personal experience, I've found the people on Khao San much more friendly than anybody I've met on Sukhumvit or surrounding areas (not to say that I haven't met some brilliant people there).

I really am struggling to understand why so many people feel it necessary to disparage people around Khao San Road.

  10. Hi everybody,

I'm looking to book a 2-3 bedroom apartment for myself and two friends for just one night, somewhere in Pattaya. I was hoping some locals/frequent visitors could offer advice as to potential places to stay? Our budget would be 3000-6000 baht per night, and ideally the apartment would be close to the beach and relatively luxurious. We stayed at the Argyle Apartments last time, and while the apartments were nice and the staff very helpful, we'd prefer to stay elsewhere this time and closer to the beach.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

    Thankyou in advance

  11. Hi everybody,

Apologies if I'm posting something that I'm fairly sure has been posted 1000 times, if it's that vexing, please just ignore this post.

I've visited Thailand and surrounding SE Asians many times, and really enjoy the culture and lifestyle over there. I'm very interested in moving there, but am concerned about how I would be able to go about this, given my age and workforce experience.

I read that in order to offer a position to a foreigner, a Thai company must present some kind of business case that no local is capable of performing the duties. While I am qualified (I have two degrees: LLB and BBus from Monash University, Australia), I'm concerned that I may not be suitable for employment in Thailand. I am 21 years old, 22 in two months and have four years experience in taxation and accounting (I did a cadetship out of high school, while studying).

Will these circumstances prevent me from getting a job in Thailand? If anybody can offer some personal anecdotes/advice I would be very grateful. This is something I've researched at great length, but unfortunately my searches have been largely in vain.

Again, apologies if I'm posting something you've all seen 1000 times before.

Please note, my girlfriend (Swedish national) is of similar circumstances and is also interested in moving over there. Would it be different for her?

    Thankyou in advance!
