  1. Ive just been back to the U.K in June and got a Non Imm O visa with no problems at all from Hull. Its your life but i think you need to sit down and reconsider what you are about to do...........you both want to pack your jobs in and come and live here, do you have the financial means to support yourselves? Have you ever been here before (Pattaya)? You say you want to do a T.E.F.L course or something like that.........doesnt sound like you are very well organised to me. Sorry if it sounds a bit hard.

  2. Smells of troll, but here we go............if you and wife are both british citizens apply to Royal Thai Consulate Hull for Non immigrant O.. 1 yr multiple entry visa....on grounds of visiting family and friends. Check out their website for further details. Sounds like you are none too keen on course? If your wife is Thai there are other avenues......need more details

  3. http://www.thaiembdc.org/consular/visa/visa.htm (Royal Thai Embassy Washington) validity of visa.....can be extended up to a year on a case by case basis for 2+ entries , http://www.thai-la.net/visa/visa.htm (Royal Thai Consulate Los Angeles) visa cannot be extended beyond 180 days! Seems to vary from office to office......makes you wonder if they all make their own rules up or interpret them as they see fit!
  4. Bigalsouth........to be fair it does say on the Air Asia web site that no drinks or food are included in the ticket price but may be purchased onboard......it also says in their terms and conditions that free checked baggage allowance is 15kg and unchecked baggage 7kg anything over is charged excess at 5RM (50 baht) per kilo. Two hour delay sounds a bit unacceptable though when your only flying down to Phuket.......Still would of thought they were a lot cheaper than Thai Airways though. How long ago did you travel, might of just been teething problems regarding delay?

  5. Rodger admitted to his overstay, stating that he fell in love with Pattaya and did not want to return to the UK, and that his visa ran out 3 months prior.

:o another one bites the dust ............least he will get to stay a bit longer now.....free board and lodge as well!

  6. One more point......you can extend your initial 60 days that you get on arrival in Thailand by 30 days at any immigration office i.e Pattaya or wherever you are based so a trip to Bangkok wont be neccessary. Guess it just depends on how long your stay will be......up to 90 days pay the 1900baht and extend .......between 90 and 120 days go out the country and back in (ie 2 lots of 60 days).......between 120 days and 180 days you/ll need to extend twice at the 60 day point and 150 day point at local immigration and do 1 visa run out the country after 90 days......hope this makes sense :o

  7. Bought a pack of "Wakies" last night 10 tablets 130 baht.......Thai G/F took 1 .....i took the other 9 over 4 hour period. Today still feel as rough as ever only difference is not as tired as usual. :o

  8. Just to add to Lopburi's reply if you cross the border when your 30 day extension is due to expire (ie day 29 of extension) and then re-enter Thailand immediately you will be given a further 60 days which can be extended by 30 days for a further 1900 baht towards the end of the 60 day period. Providing you do have a double entry visa of course!

  9. Right Chingy lets make this clear once and for all.........i have just phoned Air Asia again their international flights leave from Terminal 1 check in Row 5 .Their Domestic flights leave from the Domestic Terminal .However the Domestic Terminal is not Terminal 2 which is where the confusion might of occured. Air Asia call centre 02515999. Ovenman you just beat me to the reply......totally agree with you.
