Are immigration at Swammy really enforcing the requirements for Visa Exempt, detailed on the Thai UK embassy website, of showing B20k cash or Travellers Cheques and an onward flight ticket ? My UK family have visited for many years on a Visa Exempt and have never been asked for this.

Yes, it is very confusing with contradictory information on different pages. One page states the original requirements which were pretty straightforward but when you do the online application, as you have said, you get all the guff about declarations, £5k in the bank for three months, covid insurance, pre-paid accommodation etc. It is a complete mess but the only way of applying.

The UK visa website gives contradictory information on the 60-day tourist visa. On one page it states the pre- covid fairly simple requirements but when you try to complete the online application you get all the <deleted> about declarations, £5k in a bank account for three months, proof of prepaid accommodation etc, etc. And, of course, today's new rule. This seems to be confused with the requirements of the STV which appears on another page and is all wrong, giving details of extending within Thailand not applying in the UK and if you arrive by cruise ship or yacht, as we all do. What a mess. Ironically the Laos Thai Embassy website is still with the original requirements for the 60-day tourist visa, for which you can book a five-minute slot between 9 am to midday to submit the papers and B1k to collect the visa two days later. A very silly and pathetically stupid petty snobbery seems to have developed in Thai immigration combined with nasty mean-spirited xenophobia, which mostly damages Thai people working in hotels and tourism. We can choose to go somewhere else, they cannot.

The 45 day visa exempt was not approved by whatever committee on 16th June since when, silence.

You need to hit send in the six digit verification code box for either phone or email then it comes PDQ. It means send the code to you and not send the code to Lazada as does every other website in the world. But I am now getting this security check every time I log in whereas previously I never saw it. Perhaps "somebody" is punishing Lazada for the offence the YouTube video caused recently because several problems with their website since then.

It is the fact of the matter, not just your opinion but most people's. If it cannot be made difficult, it is not worth doing.

Is it possible to book the Fast Track upon arrival without using an agent ? I can find nothing on the airport's website.
