Could you please advise.  I have a Filipino partner (not married) and child. 

I wish to get a 1 year visa or longest option possible for them both.  Seems to be a grey area as 1 year is very difficult, maybe 3 months tourist with extension is an option?  Please advise places and what is my best option/s?

I need a resident cert to prove I am living here. I do not have a rental agreement for a property as I stay for free. What other means can I gain something so I can get the cert as I need quickly.

Just for information. You can drive your car easy into Malaysia after owning it for a certain time approx 6 months. This can be done with or without finance I in the car. The agent does it all for you at the border after sending all documents by email. Pick up your number plates, sticker display and insurance at border and cross. 4000thb for 3 months multi entry with car, insurance included. Easy no hassle. One thing to note is in Malaysia you can only have 40% windows UV film.

Due to moving to Malaysia and not being able to bring my car from Thailand with finance on it, I want to sell.

Anyone know the rules on this and is it better to pay it off 100% then sell or cut my loses and sell now. 80% already paid. Anyone have an issue like this before?

Hi Tom, thank you for everyone reply. I understand as I have insurance in Malaysia and Korea. I have a full license for korea. However there are reasons I want the 5 year not 1 year Thai. Is it possible to change from 1 year to 5 early as in 9 months earlier. I will attend the driving office in.the weeks to come and hopefully get my answer.... Thanks again .

It has to be 5 years not 1 year temporary ....

I now have my 1 year Non O visa. Can I now hand in my 1 year droving license early and get my full 5 year again. Anyone know?

Not everything is so cut and dry ... that is why I am asking.

I do not have my Non O visa at that time .. its obligatory.

Can I go back early with my one year license and change to 5 years?

I was sent something in the post from UK to Thailand valued at 20 GBP. The postal guy arrives at my home with parcel and states I must pay 1300THB on this incoming post, more than the cost of the item! How can they work this out?
