  1. Thank you Sumrit for the PM and Borodave for the good advice. I got up at 3am UK and got to talk to someone at the visa section in the embassy. Somewhat surprised at the delay of our application she said they will start looking at our file today and asked me to contact VFS on Wednesday or Thursday. Hope it’s the answer we are looking for. Wednesday will be 15 weeks.

Ps don’t know how to unlock me from anonymous user.

  2. I did try to change my settings from Anonymous User yes that is I.

I am on here every day and every hour I have spare. I haven’t had any news that they have my file and will be up early in the morning to phone the embassy switchboard. I am feeling very low now, as I seem to be the last one and have been completely ignored.

  3. Welcome Mr Hawkins goood luck, and hope to see processing times drop to 8 to 10 weeks.

well another monday is upon us so best of luck to

  4. WHAT

    Fluidfusion 27/3 Refused SELF EMPLOYED

TickTock 30/3 Granted but refused at first SELF EMPLOYED

George & Dragon 30/03 Refused 26/06 SELF EMPLOYED

    Pingit ????? SELF EMPLOYED

looks like you where all in the same box, If the ECO's are given 32 applications at a time

does it mention the officer on the refusal ??

    Chewy ???? SELF EMPLOYED

  5. Wrong as we have had 1 case on here that has been reviewed and overturned by the ECO, and as regards MPs cant do anything on a decision.

What you need to do is look at your accounts and the answer is there, if you think their have overlooked something then you have a chance but if you think that your evidence was poor then he has done his job and (i no hard to take) made his decision on this.

It is dificult to advise as we dont no if your accounts where pro former or there didnt show as a full time self employment of part time self employment.

If you want to PM me fluidfusion i will be happy to try and help as i am self employed and i didnt show wage slips and a great deal in profit

I may need your help please be on standby. Nothing for me today.

  6. May I add the UK border agency has to be informed of all applications so is ours lost?

Are you sure? Who told you this?

As far as I'm aware, there is no such requirement; unless there is some aspect of the application which means a decision cannot be made at a local level.

    Have the procedures been changed?

Just what I was informed of today in his office as he spoke to one of the boarder agency officers on the phone. It’s amazing what you can pick up if you sit quite and listed in. I was also able to listen to a few other private conversations but wont go into that.

  7. If it is lost just think of all the personal documents and photos etc that will have to be replaced. Does seem odd that we are not on file. Or is it sat in a box under someone’s desk that happens to be on holiday or off work sick. Personally I think it is gathering dust on someone’s desk.

  8. I am so pissed with this that I have an appointment at 3:30 with my MPs office today and he is a cabinet minister.

With a bit of luck that might do the trick.

Just come home from my MP cabinet ministers office. I was helped by one of his staff, a very helpful man.

He used the government hot line to the UK boarder agency and gave all our details and after a few minutes of searching the files they could find no detail of our application. He said this was very unusual. The guy from the UK BA will e-mail the embassy today and will expect something in the morning. I was told that using the hot line would rattle cages if you get my drift.

    Will update asap

    Edit

You are sort of right as I have printed copy's from February but if you look close at the figures for that month it says applications per month it does not say how many are processed each month you have to guess using the % figures.

Then in March they change to applications completed in period???? What period? One month or 120 days.

My wife told me when she put in her application in March there were 200 in front of her in the queue when she made a visit today she said the office was very quite. So is the surge in applications over and in a few months thing will speed up a bit. She did talk to one woman who had been waiting 5 weeks to get her holiday visa.

    Edit typo

  10. Well just had a look and still nothing. Friday will be day 100 for us.

Chew, is it worth ringing the VFS just for piece of mind that an ECO is actually dealing with your case? I'm sure they can do this from their PCs at the VFS. You know, like reassurance that the case has not slipped down the back of the filing cabinets kind of stuff. I would not expect them to tell you when you expect to get a result but after nearly 100 days this feels like a legitimate request.

My wife has just been to the VFS office this morning and just got the same story about taking time sometimes up to 5 months. She is very polite and wont push for things to be done. Again today I sent two polite e-mails one to the above and one to the embassy to point out how long we have been waiting. And again I get the reply below from VFS and nothing from the embassy.

    Dear Mr. * *********,

Thank you for your email of 23 June 2009.

Applicants are NOT advised to contact the Entry Clearance Officer by phone, as they may not possible to pick up every phone call from applicants. Any case specific enquiries should have sent directly to them either via email address at [email protected] or via fax number: +66 2 254 9579. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

02 June 2009: Delay in application process Please note that due to a surge in applications non-settlement applications are now taking between 4-6 weeks to process and settlement applications 12 weeks. Applications already submitted are being cleared on the basis of date due to travel. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused by these delays

    You get the idea :)

  11. Good news for you TickTock very pleased for you. Did your wife make a call to the embassy?

Hope for us as we are now back to 100% pass rate. We start week 14 tomorrow.

Chewy if you don't get an answer this week I think you should ring them and complain, as 14 weeks is a joke and find out what's going on !

Can someone PM me a direct phone number ?

  12. Sound like they didn’t get the documents you faxed. This is just stupid now if you proved you are on £111k a year and have a good balance in your account. I just don’t get it. I see the pattern of asking for more documents usually on week ten then week 13 a decision is made. I think you should start another tread and see what can be done.

I have a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach now about our application. I am sure you will get it sorted.

  13. She cannot claim tax credits on her own, but you can; and you can both make a joint claim once she is here.

    Wont be a problem.

I do hope so, perhaps more details will help, and I am self-employed with my own shop and small Internet business. I get some tax credits at the moment but will probable get non in the next tax year. I think I may have put that I don’t get benefits on the application form do you think this will be a problem with my wife’s application for the settlement visa? I am very worried now that something is wrong after 13 weeks. We have no requests for any more paperwork.
