  1. I had note 1 and someone tipped a pint of peroni over it in the UK, so got a S3 and I am really enjoying the smaller screen now after 2 years on a phablet... at least I can go out with the S3 without fear of my shorts falling down (due to the weight of the Note.. not any other reason)

  2. Then throw the bag in the nearest gutter while ogling the next piece of e-waste they are going to buy on the current one they have, to save a few nanoseconds of their so valuable time browsing facebook or LINE on how to save the planet.

    Oz

yeah, i always carry tupperware in my car for picking up food to avoid having to deal with the elastic bands and + environment issue

  3. I got my first true bill 3 days ago and it was very easy to open with no tutorials on youtube or anything, glad i didn't see this thread before as i'd have been dead worried.

True that, they make most foreigners look like rtards when it comes down to fiddly things. As for rubber banded food items I managed to figure those with the wrap around double back on itself thing. True move bill Il just stay pre paid for the phone and keep paying wifi at the condo and live in bliss:) ✌

yeah, I do get angry with the elastic bands - I normally have a pair of scissors at the ready to cut the bag open and avoid trying to unravel that elastic

  4. I spent 1300b a week ago at foodland and going back tomorrow, but as well as this have eaten at Foodland before my shop 82b for Szechuan noodles, Carls Jr 145b on saturday and last night a bowl of bame nam moo dang at 50b + always having to buy extra bread and milk + fruit at 100b so.... I reckon....

80b per meal with snacks included on average, but still have a lot of foodland stuff left in fridge / freezer.

less than 7000b a month - I dont like paying more than 150b for western food as I can cook it better myself as I have got an oven now

  6. yeah, crazy Daves has a sang som set for 250b which I am sure you can get more than 10 drinks out of it

I don't drink it - in fact my mate asked me to get him a bottle of decent rum (well, so he thinks) at mcr airport and I have still managed to keep my hands off that and its been over 2 months

  7. Every morning, same rigmarole of opening my kettle and seeing all the ants in there having a drink. Last night, I decided to empty out all the water and leave the kettle upside down, and today, no more ants hurrah! Thats about 10 seconds of my life back every day at least (and a lot less dead ants in my sink).

    Anymore top thailand tips please?

  8. I can normally find a space in the temple grounds at the corner of 2nd Road and Pattaya South. Although that tends to be during the week. The weekend may be a different matter.

The new parking space indication system in place at Central Mall is useful and, yes, Royal Garden does get busy at times. Suppose the best option is to plan your visit for off peak hours, if at all possible

I was not aware rthat the public could park at the temple grounds (is this the temple on the left hand side when you turn right off 2nd Road on to Pattaya South).? Do you know if you can park at night (ie. until 1:00 or 2:00 am). Thanks

Same temple and you can park 24 hours in the multistory

where is this? I only park in central festival, but would love a few more options.

  9. I am sure I wont get much love for this, and sorry if its been mentioned before - but I went to Carls Jr tonight 3rd floor of central festival.

The combo set I had was a chicken and bacon burger, fries and a sprite 145b.

It was one of the best burgers I have had in Thailand, and the fries were much better than other fast food places - they still had a bit of the skin from the potato on them, nice and hot and tasted really good. Yep, the burger was in a right old mess at the end of the meal - as Carls Jr says, "its going to be messy" and it was. It was also a massive meal and I am glad I only went for the small.

One thing which maybe new is that there is a loyalty card thing going on now, so if you get 5 combos, the 6th one is free, which would bring the price down to 120b a combo - this is great value.

The outside area is pretty cool as well, looking over beach road.

Bib Chon is open (inside Royal Garden, beach side). I just ate there for the first time. No more KFC for me. Bon Chon chicken is very good! Interesting menu with a lot more than chicken wings. Good side dishes and some other Korean dishes that I have yet to try.

Yes BONCHON Chicken is an international chain originating in KOREA now expanding in good old Thailand. They have been preparing to open for many many months. Glad to hear they are finally open! Yes Korean Fried Chicken is quite a different thing. Thanks for the news!

Pattaya gets more and more "world class" with quality chains like this continuing to open here.

I went in on Saturday night to check out the menu - I asked the girl in there if its going to be Gangnam Style and she said it probably will be.

    • Thanks 1
  10. "the novelty still hasnt worn off for young white men in los . wink.png.pagespeed.ce.HJgPQ3U3SA.png"

If she works in Germany, I doubt that it has anything to do with novelty. And trust me there is no where in BKK where people think white tourists are a novelty. They are as common place as beggars and flea bitten dogs.

yeah but he is a Playa
