I recall the extent and full force of Thai law when a world-class cyclist was hit from behind and killed by a drunk taxi driver near Bangkok. The Thai was fined $7,000 baht and served no jail time. Isn't Thailand a wonderful country?

I suspect there is no gift tax in Thailand and, of course, there's no need to disclose anonymous donors. Very convenient for the politically connected and influential characters in the land of smiles.
