I think Ray Velcora has a good method.

To the OP.  One thing you could try is to buy your daughter a spy cam to record the assaults. This would be useful evidence to present to the authorities.

These come in all sorts of styles. Spy pen for example although there are many others. To back this up you can get pocket alarms that emit a really loud noise to attract attention.

She should carry pepper spray too.

  2. A parent's worse nightmare.

My boy has been told if anyone picks on you, you tell them once to stop and if they don't stop he's to punch them as hard as he can in the face.

If I was the OP I'd go to the school and have my daughter point then out then they'd get a warning to keep their hands off my daughter or il be knocking the living day lights out of their father.

Thats how we deal with things like this in the UK.

That guard is using a knuckle duster. You can tell the way he's punching down over and not directly at him.

US healthcare prices are not a good comparison. What is worrying is that Thai private healthcare is getting up to EU/UK prices - and this is pushing insurance premiums beyond many expats' budgets.

I was getting treatment the other day and there were at least four of the patients in that department bitching about their bills.

True. My wife's silicone implants were ฿75,000 10 years ago and now to replace them at the same private hospital its ฿300,000.

  5. They have no idea.

A mate of mine who was living in Thailand with his Thai wife and kid moved back to the UK 2 years ago because it was too expensive here.

His kid gets free education, his wife now works in a Thai restaurant making a tidy sum each week.

He works offshore so he can live anywhere but just couldn't bring himself to pay Thai prices anymore.

  7. That is completely cooked and looking at the water galleries its never had the correct coolant in it as its all rusty. Even though antifreeze is not a requirement here it should still have it in the coolant to protect from corrosion which obviously this one hasn't. Poor maintenance has caused this engine to blow.

Get a 2nd hand engine from a breakers and have the radiator and coolant hoses all cleaned out. Possibly a new radiator is required.

Maybe 10k from a breaker and 5k to fit it.
