Hi there, My wife and I reside in Northern Ireland. My wife has British Indefinite Leave to remain and Irish citizenship. We want to invite our 15 year old Thai nephew to come and visit us in Northern Ireland. I know we have to show proof we can sustain his travel and stay in Northern Ireland without recourse to public funds, living accommodation and proof we legally reside in Northern Ireland. What I am not sure about is what my sister in law has to provide with the application in Thailand? I would imagine she has to write a letter granting permission for his travel, airline ticket and travel insurance. What other documents must she include with the application? What proof does a 15 year old show for reason to return to Thailand if he is not returning to education.
Your help is greatly appreciated
Thanks -
Hello folks, My Thai inlaws what to go to Khao Kho for a few days. They are happy with very basic accommodation. However I do like alteast some comfort with the very least aircon. A young neice and nephew will also be joining us and they love a swimming pool. Can anyone recommed any suitable accommodation? The few on booking.com that have a pool are charging 5 star prices.
Thanks in advance for your replies, Mike

Hello Folks, I will be making my third visit to Chumphon next week. We are going to visit my wifes sister and family who live in the arse hole of nowhere outside the city. On the previous two trips we stayed at the A-Tae hotel. No complaints about the hotel other than being out of the way. Can anyone recommend a hotel with a pool that is close to a bar or whatever nightlife Chumphon has?
I am in no way expecting anything other than a nice face to look at and a few cold beers. But after sitting among farmers all day, being talked about and ignored, sweating like a pig with a fan to keep cool, the thought was having a semi decent conversation with some one other than my wife is orgasmic :-)

Can anyone recommend a good florist in Bangkok who can also deliver chocolates. I have found a few online but they only deliver way overpriced Ferrero Rocher.
Or a chocolate shop that does deliveries?
Thanks in advance for your replies

100 baht per day? Bet she finds a new husband once she finishes uni.
Off topic,If your one of those people that don't give your wife money every month well what do you expect.
If I were living in the UK (as OP is), I would expect her to get a job, and pay NI for her pension.
Like every other normal person.
In Thailand (cos my wife is a uni student), I pay her fees, and give her 100bht pocket money for every day she attends uni, and provide her with food and accommodation.
If she wants more she can work for it, after uni finishes she will be getting a job.

Arimidex is a very potent drug. Iess you are taking a massive amount of Testosterone like a bodybuilder might then Tamoxifen will be the better option for you.

Its quite clear that the people in this post who are espousing violence are clearly in support of her majesty's government in Ireland. Irish citizens seem to be the only side willing to make sacrifices for peace. But then again when you don't live in Ireland and don't have to deal with state sponsored violence then its all only a game played out on the computer while drinking your first breakfast beer of the day.

Lots of big talk here about dealing with so called IRA scum and what you would do with them. Why don't your bring this topic up with the next Irish man you meet and see what answer you get. There are plenty of Irish bars in Thailand where your bound to find a paddy. Go in and give it to the so called scum. And when your at it you might even find one of those jihadi scum who blew up your London buses. That would even be easier than finding an Irish man.
I saw a former UK Marine do just this one night to some 'Irish' prat (with a Manc accent (?) who claimed he was IRA) who'd been drunkenly spouting Anti-British crap for the best part of an hour in a British bar on Sukhumwit late one night until one lad had heard enough and invited the lad to take his nonsense out into the soi.
He maybe thought because most of the blokes in the pub were older than him they'd be intimidated by his cheap tattoos, bald head, fat gut and PHd in talking B*llocks.
He was called 'Mick' too funnily enough.....
Though He wasn't too keen to carry on the 'discussion' when invited out in the soi by this marine who would be joined by a few other rather pee'd off ex servicemen/Brits who'd been putting up with his drivel for a while; in fact; I rather fancy 'Mick' then did a pooh in his pants, paid his bill, ran off into the first cab he could grab so that somewhat undermines your silly post....
Maybe being an 'IRA terrorist' is this year's "I was in the SAS but can't talk about it...." trend of BS to hit the expat bars of Thailand for 2015.....?
You mean they waited hours until the guy was drunk and easy

I never paid my wife for sex until we get married. Now I have to pay every day and will no doubt have to keep paying until I die.

Oh yes Micks are invincible, but good to know who on here supports murdering scum, including those who like your comment.
Been there, wore the T shirt. Oh and by the way the British Government pay my salary.
And to make a few of the hard men here choke on their morning Leo, thanks to the Good Friday Agreement anyone convicted of so called heinous crimes are not barred from working anywhere they want. There are few university lecturers that I know that not only teach politics and history, they made it. I also know men who were incarcerated by a dip lock court who are now teachers in England.
Here is a lawyer who left the IRA because they entered the peace process. There are hundreds like him
Time is a great healer. Especially for those who were in the middle of the madness and that’s on all sides. From experience the bitterness comes from those who haven't got a clue and their biggest challenge in life is getting the price of the next pint.

Next year's election will cement Sinn Feins position as the biggest party on the island of Ireland. Not bad for a bunch of so called murdering cowards. Maybe it has more to do with the brave decisions they make!!

Moderators this person has used hate speech by calling me a fenian. Is this forum sectarian? However I am used to the little minds of these klu klux klan type bullys. I suppose it's hard to stomach when you see these so called fenians get democratically elected and seize power. Scotland first and the six counties of the North of Ireland will be next. Here Here!!

Paisley was the devil incarnate who was responsible for countless deaths and openly encouraged his sectarian loyalist friends to plunder Catholic neighbourhoods looking for their next innocent victim. He will be burning in hell I have no doubt.
And before this post gets deleted you may want to look at the murdering scum Martin McGuiness post as I am not aware of him either being found guilty or admitting killing anyone.

I saw Bullet for my Valentine in May this year in Centrepoint. Was a nice friendly relaxed atmosphere. Unlike a rock concert in the West where your herded around by growling bouncers

Myself and my wife are going to Chumpon next week for 3 days to visit her family. Her family live out in the sticks so know very little about town life. Is there anywhere we can go in the evening for a nice meal, music and a few drinks?
We will be staying at the A-Te hotel. Which is close to the Morning Market it think is called.
Thanks in advance for your replies

As the post above suggests, there are many, However myself and my wife thought that Khaosan Restaurant and Bakery on Chaweng Beach road was worth a a return visit when we went to Chaweng in October. We ended up eating there most days.

Hello folks. Little change to the above. My inlaws have seen some sense and my nephew will not be taking a year out of education and will return to school after his holidays
Hopefully this will make the visa application more straight forward
