About Me
Let's say man and his immediate ancestors have been around roughly 2 million years. During that time he/they adapted to the environment. They became optimized for the food available, the air, water and the cycles of day/night and seasons. Starting roughly 100-150 years ago all that changed. Artificial light, chemicals, fertilizers, pollution of air and water, depleted soils, mono-culture farming, stress, etc.
To put it in perspective lets condense that 2 million years into a single year.
Exactly 1 year ago you were told that today you would be given an advanced biology test. If you failed you would die. Being a biologist by nature you were fairly confident of passing, but you still studied every day. Finally the big day arrives and just as you are ready to enter the exam room, with just 45 seconds to go, you are told.
Sorry we changed it to a chemistry test, good luck.
I think as a species we are going to need a lot of luck. Look at the proliferation of new diseases. Autism, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's,...Good luck indeed!
