  1. A friend just emailed me this; i had installed yesterday a wireless connection to the internet. the system keeps me hooked up to the internet 24/7. never off or cut off. got an average of 45kbps hook-up connection on the tel line but now i get 230.4kbps hook-up speed. Cost b7,000 for the hand phone transmitter looking devise & b1000 per month for the user fee connection that cancels out the local monthly tel line cost of b600 to b900.

He's not a techie, but neither am I.

    Any other experiences?

  2. A friend of mine had one put in about two years ago at Bangkok Pattaaya Hospital. He's very happy with it and the service he received. He goes back for a quick check up every six months with a specialized nurse from Bangkok. I think he said the total cost was about $4,000 and included three days in the hospital.

  3. My buddy owned one at Spanish Place on the top floor. The day he moved in the lift quit running and was not fixed for five months. He then tried to pay the balance but they were not able to transfer the ownershio because they did not actually have their own ownership documents.

He walked away and bought somewhere else.

Keep shopping and you'll find lots available.

  4. See Dr. Anna at Bangkok Pattaya hospital. She's in the new wing in the back. I think she spent 10 years working at a great hospital in California.

I went to her last year. She was great and she speaks English like a American. No nonsense and very sharp.

As I remember, the initial consult is aboiut 400 baht, then she lasered two spots on me and took a biopsy for about 5000 baht. The biopsy was positive, so she had to cut a spot off my arm for another 5000 baht.

  5. I got dramatic results from a lifestyle and a medication change.

I've been having extreme fatigue for a few years and the doctors could not find a problem, finally I asked an internist friend and he suggested I was getting a sodium overload by eating out every meal. He also said my medication, atenolol, a beta blocker would cause this.

I eat at home most meals and try not to eat anything that is prpared in a factory, seems they use salt as a preservitive. I also cut my atenolol from 100mg to 50mg. The result has been a dramatic increase in energy.

Check the labels in the supermarket and you will be surprised. A side benefit is I'm losing weight.

  6. I had an upper and lower eye job at Bangkok Pattaya hospital a couple of years ago. The doctor was a complete moron. Sorry, I don't remember his name. He had a gatoy working there that I talked to and 'she' said he was great.

During the surgery, the pain killer wore off and he actually put three stiches in after I was in great pain from the needle going in.

During recovery, three of his stiches came untied and those areas took forever to heal and naturally excess bleeding for about a week.

My friends tell me it looks great, but I can see areas that would be better with a better surgeon.

My advice is to to Bumrumgrad hospital in Bangkok or some other Bangkok hospital. I believe most of the really good doctors work in Bangkok.

I do recommend Dr. Anna in Dermatology at Bangkok Pattaya hospital. She's very sharp, speaks perfect English and was trained at Stanford in California. Last year she spotted, biopsyed and cut a little skin cancer off my arm.

  7. I'm looking for a company in Pattaya that specializes in building kitchens. My contractor says that he can build anything I want, but only some of his workmen are any good.

The kitchen I want could almost be ordered out of a catalog, but I'm sure a specialist would do a better job.

I did talk to the marble top suppliers on Sukhumvit, but they say they only sell and install the top.

I'm also interested in other cabinets.

  8. This is a very serious problem and requires a an extensive blood test. The basic problem is a normal doctor will say your levels are normal but if you look at the readings, you may be running on empty and a little medication will improve your life or at least get you back to normal.

You can learn more about this on Yahoo group hypogonadism2

Testosterone can be administered several ways, including a pill, a cream, a patch, a shot, or a pellet.

Learn more and have your levels tested.
