Intercepting a comet in space. Nice.
NASA (and others)have some fantastic projects with the rovers on Mars and other robotic craft heading thru the solar system.
Unfortunatly, it seems the Space Shuttle has turned into another expensive defense project.
I've been a huge NASA fan since the first manned Mercury space shots.
Once visited Houston Control and viewed the Shuttle, Saturn Rocket, Moon Lander, the car they used on the moon and other important Space Ships. Neil Armstrongs Capsule is on display at the Smithsonian.
Meeting Alan Sheperd was a memorable day. My old neighbor, first American in space and golfer on the moon.
Carl Sagen said, humans will someday be capturing meteors and bringing them to earth for mining rare minerals.
Some meators may be brought into earth orbit and made habitable for humans, then sent off thru the galaxie he predicts.
Here is a link I have some interest in. http://www.usatoday.com/tech/news/robotics...of-robots_x.htm
NASA is using a Segway Platform for their Robonaut. These Robotic Astronauts may be assisting humans while exploring Mars.

China Air was offering some very good prices last I checked.
Be carefull, some of the cheap flights have long connections sometimes.
I say splurge a little bit and go for the EVA Air, Coach Deluxe.

The Nana is booked full most of the time.
Two places at the far end of the street are the Nana Tai and Woraburi.
Grand President or Ambassador on Soi 11 are Ok too.

It's a buyers market now. Lots of places for sale.
With the cash ready, make some offers. Some people bought at less than 50,000 per meter and may be happy to break even or take a loss.
I'd be looking for a river view, close to mass transit. Other areas I'd consider are Lumpini neighborhood and Sukhumvit Sois 23 to 55.
If you plan on living there or renting out for 5 or more years then go for it.

Yes, checking into the Nana Hotel at 2AM should be a memorable experience for a first time visitor.

Bangkok Bank near Sukhuimvit 8 is convienent for me and the service has been good except for the rotton people that work the wire transfer desk upstairs.

Get to Fortune Mall by taking the Subway to Pra Ram 9 Station.
Drops you at the front door.

You may have to submit several photos of the King.
The ones printed on the 1000 baht notes seem to be the most popular.

1000 Thai Cops involved in a secret raid and only a few suspects.
Gee, do you think word of the operation could haved leaked out?

Authentic Mexican food. Even got a case of the runs.....

" Bangkok Governor Apirak Kosayodhin today launched a project designed to put Thailand's capital at the forefront of the regional trade and tourism sectors."
Good idea except. Thailands reputation for corruption, sars, bird flu, terrorism, tsunamis, civil rights abuses (killing sprees), inconsistant immigration policies, pollution, traffic, broken down sidewalks, early closing times at entertainment areas and random drug tests at places like the Q Bar.
They want families and corporations coming here?

I found 18 threads that mention the Segway.
None started by the Segway Guy.
Nowhere in my post does it say the thread was started by the segway guy- but seeing as you have brought it up, here is the particular thread I refer to:
In 5 pages you posted 16 times, and the thread was eventually closed due to breaching forum spam rules. Fair enough?
I'd probably be spamming (and wound up pretty tight) too if I was stuck trying to sell convertible BMW's or open top Jeep Wranglers in the LOS. PLEASE buy ONE! We'll give you a free book to hold over your head as a sunshield while you drive.
A guy has a little Segway rental business at the end of Soi Nana and your gonna pop a vessel?

Loser friendly area.

"On the spam topic, this reeks of the chap who was advertising the personal vehicle thingies in the joke forum a few weeks back... Talk about flogging a product!!! "
I found 18 threads that mention the Segway.
None started by the Segway Guy.

There are more than just Segways hitting the streets (and sky) as people look for ways to increase their mobility and reduce gas consumption and emissions.

The recent news of police harrassing tourists at nite spots seems to be the wrong approach. Urine tests at the Q Bar, Bed Supperclub, etc. =dumb!
Tsunamis, Terrorists, Sars, Bird Flue, Early Closing Times, VISA fees, Human Rights Abuses and a reputation for corruption can discourage the average tourist.

I agree one must think FORWARD.
Before mounting a segway always think first
" Do I want really want to like like a dick head"
Contributions to the discussion like the above are worthless, add nothing to the conversation and should be removed by the moderators.
Dragging the discussion into the gutter is a pastime for some around here, sad.

The cries for alternative personal transport are getting louder and louder.
THINK FOWARD...

Bourbon St. makes excellent fajitas.

"I heard that you get one free with every Segway."
Did sombody mention Segway?.....
Great marketing idea, since the Segway attracts chicks better than a puppy.
Segway chicks?
Get a Harley dude!

Posted this in another topic but more suitable for here.

The Prime Minister should be handing out medals for keeping the corruption from exceeding the standard 30%.

Some of those dinner cruises are not so great. Too crowded, lousy food and the band playng full blast thru cheap PA speakers. Aaagghh!
I booked the boat named Wan-Fah for a dinner cruise. Old wooden barge.
Better than most I believe.
I've read some info regarding Wan_Fah. What kind of menu do they offer?HOw long the trip?Any additional info pls.
Thanks
The Thai food was mild, prepared for tourist tastes. Had some Thai style carved vegetables, kinda upscale setting, with a musician playing a Thai instrument.
A couple of hours long.
It all could be different now since my cruise was several years back.
Can be booked at a kiosk at the Riverside complex I recall.

The MRT also stops at Queen Sirikit Center.
The adjacent new park is deserted in the mornings.

Global Solutions in Pantip was recommended to me and they seem to be a reliable business with good after sale service.
