  1. Intercepting a comet in space. Nice.

NASA (and others)have some fantastic projects with the rovers on Mars and other robotic craft heading thru the solar system.

Unfortunatly, it seems the Space Shuttle has turned into another expensive defense project.

I've been a huge NASA fan since the first manned Mercury space shots.

Once visited Houston Control and viewed the Shuttle, Saturn Rocket, Moon Lander, the car they used on the moon and other important Space Ships. Neil Armstrongs Capsule is on display at the Smithsonian.

Meeting Alan Sheperd was a memorable day. My old neighbor, first American in space and golfer on the moon.

Carl Sagen said, humans will someday be capturing meteors and bringing them to earth for mining rare minerals.

Some meators may be brought into earth orbit and made habitable for humans, then sent off thru the galaxie he predicts.

Here is a link I have some interest in. http://www.usatoday.com/tech/news/robotics...of-robots_x.htm

NASA is using a Segway Platform for their Robonaut. These Robotic Astronauts may be assisting humans while exploring Mars.

  2. It's a buyers market now. Lots of places for sale.

With the cash ready, make some offers. Some people bought at less than 50,000 per meter and may be happy to break even or take a loss.

I'd be looking for a river view, close to mass transit. Other areas I'd consider are Lumpini neighborhood and Sukhumvit Sois 23 to 55.

If you plan on living there or renting out for 5 or more years then go for it.

  3. " Bangkok Governor Apirak Kosayodhin today launched a project designed to put Thailand's capital at the forefront of the regional trade and tourism sectors."

Good idea except. Thailands reputation for corruption, sars, bird flu, terrorism, tsunamis, civil rights abuses (killing sprees), inconsistant immigration policies, pollution, traffic, broken down sidewalks, early closing times at entertainment areas and random drug tests at places like the Q Bar.

They want families and corporations coming here?

  4. I found 18 threads that mention the Segway.

None started by the Segway Guy.

Nowhere in my post does it say the thread was started by the segway guy- but seeing as you have brought it up, here is the particular thread I refer to:

    The Segway

In 5 pages you posted 16 times, and the thread was eventually closed due to breaching forum spam rules. Fair enough?

I'd probably be spamming (and wound up pretty tight) too if I was stuck trying to sell convertible BMW's or open top Jeep Wranglers in the LOS. PLEASE buy ONE! We'll give you a free book to hold over your head as a sunshield while you drive.

    :o

A guy has a little Segway rental business at the end of Soi Nana and your gonna pop a vessel?

  5. I agree one must think FORWARD.

Before mounting a segway always think first

" Do I want really want to like like a dick head"

Contributions to the discussion like the above are worthless, add nothing to the conversation and should be removed by the moderators.

Dragging the discussion into the gutter is a pastime for some around here, sad.

  6. Some of those dinner cruises are not so great. Too crowded, lousy food and the band playng full blast thru cheap PA speakers.  Aaagghh! :o

I booked the boat named Wan-Fah for a dinner cruise. Old wooden barge.

    Better than most I believe.

I've read some info regarding Wan_Fah. What kind of menu do they offer?HOw long the trip?Any additional info pls.

    Thanks

The Thai food was mild, prepared for tourist tastes. Had some Thai style carved vegetables, kinda upscale setting, with a musician playing a Thai instrument.

    A couple of hours long.

It all could be different now since my cruise was several years back.

Can be booked at a kiosk at the Riverside complex I recall.
