  1. 100% correct if you are talking about Patong, karon and Kata however the rest of the island is still very nice...one less Aussie in Phuket is great...thanks for the comments..

If you have money i suggest you avoid Thailand altogether and keep going to Australia. The Whitsundays are awesome as well as many other beaches along that huge coastline. very clean, fresh salt air , no dogs, no broken glass, no touts, great surf....basically its everything  beach resorts in Thailand arent.  Its expensive but if you can afford 2 GF's then you can pay.

Thailands beaches at the top of the gulf stink of raw sewerage. I never go to the beach here in LOS anymore.

People on the Whitsundays would laugh if they ever came here. They wouldnt  stay here a night.

Phuket is very cheap by Australian standards which is why Aussies who cant afford a decent holiday at home come here. But you get what you pay for. Here its third rate beaches ,isan hookers, jet ski thugs and food cooked  under highly questionable circumstances. Your choice.

  2. This thread is a joke right? I agree with the post that says 6 years (at best). The people living/running this country have their heads uo their <deleted>. There are so many problems in this country associated with tourists/holiday makers/expat's... Try treating people equally and not ripping them off time and time again.. Half the reason people aren't coming back here is because they are sick to the back teeth of the thai national sport- Let's steel from farang- :)

Dead right!! Talk, Talk, Talk and the average Thai will believe in anything that comes from 'above'.

Concur with above, 6 months is being very optimistic, there is much more to it than the recent problems with the red shirts...exchange rates, prices, rip off's etc.

In the 4 years I have lived in Thailand it has changed from land of smiles to land of scowls!!

  3. Hey guys, I'm trying to get as much info as possible pros/cons, prices, opinions, etc on the Kawasaki D-tracker/KLX and the new Tiger RS250. Preferably from either dealers or owners please.

Thanks for anything you can tell me.

    John

    John,

There are some good posts on gt-rider.com in relation to the Kawasaki D-Tracker.

They are priced new at 149,900 baht which is very reasonable and there are dealers all over Thailand, again, see the above site for info.

    Hope this is of help
