  1. Ha agreed but cant put them down for 7 days til the tint is set in place so says the guy in the garage..

This is scarry shit really as you dont see much when it´s dark outside .. idea´2: cut a ugly hole in the tint like the thai guys do , just so you can see the sideview mirrors and can have alook outside if you want! On thai guy i know always roll down windows when he have to do a left or right turn as he cant see anything in the dark .. i gues one day he forget or his powerwindows will be broken and then ... poof whistling.gif

  2. If both ECU/OBD and odo has been tampered its the usual signs of wear and tear, pedals, tyres, seats, fan belts.

Here´s a couple of examples , check interior pics and compare breakpedals!

    Nissan Frontier 2004

    Nissan Frontier 2005

.. and as usuall no info. in advert about how many kilom. the car is driven!

Ivé had much older cars with prettier pedal-rubbers then the 2004 Frontier here and with far more kilom. i gues .. why dont they change it , cant be that expensive right? biggrin.gif

Stearingwheel can be a sign as well , if it´s very "smooth" and shiny on the outside and still have pattern on the inside.

  3. yepp, DLT believes them

Thai staff at your Embassy may want to see a businesscard with adress from the hotel you live at. ask hotel to write proper adress, Thanon/Soi, Moo, Tambor, Amphur

Great , I will use my wifes´ familys adress in BKK unt´ll we have our own and i think i have all the "Thanon/Soi, Moo, Tambor, Amphur" on a pcs. of paper here! jap.gif

  4. Im not 100% sure but i think its unlegal , i wanted one of my own to play with in Falangland but only way to get a plate was to steal one for me wife´s couin said and i didnt want a stolen one with me if i was stopped at the airport!

Maby they have simular rules as in some other countries , if the car isnt taxed and insured authorities claim the plates back or you will be fined.

    No? unsure.gif

  5. You can either go to your embassy and pay a couple of thousand baht for a letter that says 'Mr X has indicated he lives here' ..

I asked my embassy yesterday (SWE) and they say they do it all the time and it cost´ 530b , hopefully it also works at thai authorities as i need a car quick when i get there in june and i dont have an adress really other then wife´s family to start with! whistling.gif

  6. You can both obtain non immigrant O visa on basis of marriage without any financial requirements in your respective home countries. But a visa only allows a stay of 90 days.

If you wish to remain in Thailand without a need to exit every 90 days you need an extension of stay from Immigration. For that you would be required to show 400k in bank account for 2 months or proof of 40k per month income.

I see that now .. i thought i just had to go and see immigration every 3 month mad.gif.. well , live and learn , ivé learned little bit to day anyway! biggrin.gif

  7. Actually it is an advantage to know what is being talked about. :D

The financial requirements you refer to are applicable to extensions of stay for one year from Immigration in Thailand. They are not the requirment for visas issued by a Consulate.

Okay my engrish might be bad but i dont see the diffrent really , Op stays in Us and ask the Thai Embassy or consulate for a Non Immigrant o Visa .. i do the same but from Sweden or am i wrong here .. never mind as long as i can take care my own visa problems! biggrin.gif
