  1. Spare parts are due to arrive today at Laemchabang. Rebuilding the auxiliary engines will take about 3 weeks, including testing.. so hopefully, fingers crossed, we'll resume on/about February 3rd. We'll be announcing everything officially around mid January.
  2. Same old negative attitude. I'm assuming you don't live in Thailand and therefore are not aware of what can be said/written in a public forum, under the Computer Crimes Act. If you truly think we are stupid enough to persevere with this project blindly, without any knowledge or understanding, then you are way more ignorant than (as suggested by you) the shareholders/investors in the project. We are well aware of the risks, consequences etc.. but still believe we can turn this around, especially in the current market. Have faith and give us some credit.
  3. I hear you.. I'd say we've reached make or break time already, although strangely there are some serious investors knocking on the door. Personally I see this as the last chance for this project, which has spanned many years to get this far and a substanial part of my savings.
  4. It's true we have had a terrible run of luck, but better we discovered the issues whilst in port and not in the open sea with lots of vehicles and passengers on board. The jinx continues as the container of spare parts was off-loaded in Port Klang, thus missing the feeder vessel to Laemchabang. It's now expected to arrive early January and then we have to process customs procedures and transport the parts to the vessel. In light of the recent crazy weather, maritime incidents/tragedies etc.. we will totally repair all the auxiliary engines and test them prior to resuming any service. This will push us into early February. We've also used this downtime to totally overhaul/survey all safety systems on board and spent hours training all the crew aboard on safety procedures/protocol. As for Vax certificates etc.. these are no longer a requirement. So hope to see you early Feb'23.
  5. FYG we are currently on track to resume sailings to/from Sattahip/Samui on or about January 12th 2023, subject to no issues/complications from the customs department for the import of spare parts.
  6. Agree it feels like a never ending story and its felt impossible at times but we are seeing a light at the end of the tunnel..
  7. Totally ridiculous response, you must be seriously bored.
  8. The ferry experienced a major failure of 2 of its 3 main auxiliary engines and it was discovered that the bed plates had cracked and put the engines offline and out of sync. We then had to make the painful and expensive decision to remove the engines and change the bedplates in the interest of safety. As these are very large engines and very heavy it takes time to source/ship and install the bed plates. We are well aware of this being the worst possible timing, especially as its peak season, but there was no other option. Based on the current situation we expect/hope to renew the schedule end December/early January and finally get into a fixed sailing routine. In my 50+ years in the shipping industry I have never seen two engines go at the same time before. We'll be updating later in December once we know precise timing.
  9. There are things that can be written here and things that cannot. If you live in Thailand you will understand well. If you're so keen to know and understand everything then come and meet us and we will explain.
  10. Local Beer is available in large size bottles at Baht 120-150 Going forward the restaurants etc will be offering more exciting menus/drink options, starting late November/December.
  11. It would seem your knowledge of life and business in Thailand is extremely lacking and you're determined to constantly attack this project regardless. If you followed the whole story you would know the problems in Songkhla are linked to local authorities and more importantly the fishermen who string fishing nets in the path of the vessels accessing the lake.
  12. Schedule remains as advertised on Facebook/Line. New restaurant staff being organized and hopefully I'll have realistic ideas on menus and prices today. Drinks are being served and prices following the norm. Coffee shop also functioning now.. I'll take some photos today and post on here of the current menu and prices.
  13. The Blue Dolphin safely alongside in Nathong Jetty Samui..
  14. The Blue Dolphin sailed for Samui this evening..
  15. Everyone was reimbursed and/or provided assistance for alternative travel. To my knowledge everyone was happy.
  16. The short answer is yes.. otherwise Seahorse wouldn't be that stupid to do it.
  17. Vessel sailing today (21 st).
  18. Why don't you visit the vessel and see for yourself??
  19. Unfortunately no.. the partner responsible for this seems to have run away until passenger numbers grow.. we're exploring alternative options. Sorry ????
  20. Generators repaired and tested.. sailing tomorrow to Samui as per original schedule..
  21. Unfortunately no.. the water depths are too low for the size of vessel. Plus not sure the local competition would be too pleased.
  22. We had approximately 70 passengers/ 20 cars / 8 big - 5 small bikes / all rooms booked and many sleeping capsules taken. The first voyage to Songkhla in comparison had 20 passengers / 3 cars and grew to about 450 passengers before issues with the berths/fisherman etc.. forced us to pull out. So why numbers may look low we were feeling very positive and are hoping this setback will not create too much negativity.
  23. Unfortunately a mini disaster struck this evening when all the generators suddenly died whilst trying to sail from Sattahip on the Blue Dolphin.. the vessel was then forced to re-berth and ultimately, for safety reasons, the voyage had to be canceled.. Whilst this obviously created a total logistical nightmare and major inconvenience for passengers aboard, they all appeared to accept the situation and fully understood the first priority for us as the vessel owner/operators was everyone's safety. Hopefully we can set sail again on the 20th.
  24. Yes.. and secure lock up areas.
