  1. Don't know Tech places only thought there were certain subjects taught in different universities because our son had to go to a Bangkok Uni because no university near us taught what he wanted to learn. My friends daughter is learning and working to be a nurse in a gov hospital she gets paid, parents don't pay anything apart from some pocket money.
  2. I nearly always use PTT fuel stations because they have 7-11 and I have no interest in fuel except for my motorbike also I don't care what it is for diesel engines all I do is by the cheapest whether it's B20 B10 or B7 because I can.
  3. Over the years I know what my province wants and needs because as everyone says TIT. You get told many things by other people and don't know whether it's true or not I myself only believe it if I have seen or know for myself through experience. 16 years ago Suk province office never heard of yellow books it was only the insistence of my wife that got the head of the dept to find out because they refused to put me in her house book. After about 3 visit all done over 3 weeks. The second time was funny with having to have a head official from our village govt office the family there especially my sweet old mum in law who was asked what day was you born, she said in the summer time. Reminded me of Croc Dundee when I asked what all the hysterical laughter was about. In mums day there were practically no records kept of anything much. The govt office worked out a date for her working one out from the eldest born son. ????
  4. It didn't make sense because I didn't have to get anything from immigration at the time. My wife and her house book were proof of me having an address.
  5. We were told in our province I cannot be in my wife's house book. I believe you as I have a friend who is in his wife's blue book but doesn't have his name on the land ownership paper where they had a new house built. I think it depends on the province as they said this is Thailand. ????
  6. I'm would like to see speed limits through villages taken more seriously like width gaps, bumps etc to slow drivers down at the moment nothing is done even when there's a crash. Certain roads are dangerous to speed on as well but the two speed fines I got were just trying to rake in money IMHO. I rarely go over the speed limit in my truck, riding my bike I go fast in what I would call places you can. ????
  7. The yellow book is proof of address for falangies that what I use for proof of address at yearly extension.
  8. As I have said already have done my road tax renewal twice.
  9. From memory one of them is over 2 years ago the other nearly 2 years.
  10. Like I said it was I believe a mobile set up from time to time because after looking there was no fixed cameras in any of the locations I got caught. What I think it was just a money chaser both pictures were front and back on a straight wide 4 lane road with no other cars in sight. My wife threw them in the bin anyway.
  11. A slow internet, which struggles a bit with a site like Aseannow but it's OK for many others for me.
  12. Years ago that's what my wife went to do get my name in her house book but our province wouldn't do it that's how I ended up with a yellow book.
  13. Yeah I'll give a look I usually fast forward a lot of stuff I am not enjoying to see if it gets interesting. ????
  14. Watching a series Netflix "wanted" not to bad of a watch.
  15. Get yourself a yellow book they are supposed to be easy enough to get these days than they were in my day so I read.
  16. Well some here like everyone here who decided to be honest to know they have a fiddle going on. Up-to-them. Frankly I use to duck and dive all my working life in UK so when I retired in Thailand I wasn't bothered anyone knowing where l lived, had enough of looking over my shoulder. ????????
  17. Yeah I have been sent two pictures of speeding and told to send 500 baht. 1 was caught 76 in a 70, another a 78 in a 70, the places it happened don't seem to work anymore maybe it was mobile cameras. I prefered pre camera days 200 baht and politely being told keep your ticket in case you get stopped again. ???? The ticket was like your speeding fine for the day. ????
  18. Wait and see if you have to pay it when renewing road tax disc.
  19. You can get some cover by getting CTPL better than nowt. The rest is your risk.
  20. If you find the one you like and it's only a 1000watt don't be put off they still fast enough. I'm not into EV stuff but if guys in UK and other places and expect here in Thailand too, can make 20 watt stand on scoot do 60 mph I would say there ways and means of uprating the original electric motor or keeping it as a spare and buying more powerful electric motor for it. For example if you can buy a vacuum cleaner in different watt and lawn mowers with brushless motors what's the difference.
