  1. Yeah things have changed over the years. When I went for 5 year DL renewal I got a medical certificate in case they wanted but they didn't ask for it just did colour chart thing and they took photo paid money 15 mins got my renewed DL's. ????
  2. You can only get an IDP (international driving permit) in your home country if you contact your country DL issue dept I guess they could help you. A Canadian friend of mine drove in Thailand on his home DL with an IDP he never stayed move than 3 months at a time so never bothered getting a Thai DL. Don't know how long you intend to stay but you also do the motorcycle Thai DL test it's kids stuff.
  3. I use Bkk bk for 2 years had 800,000 in it and for 15 years has had 400,000 in it.
  4. Many are controlled by the one headed one eyed monster also. ????
  5. The only 4 wheel Supra I know of is one you would like, a one off custom made V12 twin turbo turning out close to a 1000 HP. ????????
  6. Don't believe you get some decent tyres then.
  7. You need an IDP going what you say about your Canadian DL you certainly would in our province or the alternative is doing the Thai DL test.
  8. Not exactly the one and only reason to live in Thailand when you can retired early and are in good health you can have a better life here than in UK. I would like my youngest son to retire early here, he like it here and it aware enough also everything is here for him already if he wants to.
  9. There lies one of the many problems in UK.
  10. Been no trouble for my uk family coming in Oct all Thai flights booked from UK and internal flights.
  11. There immigration policies are good they should have the same in UK.
  12. So from driving vehicles you list you should know what I'm trying to put across. In very heavy rain you slow down anyway that brings the weight of the vehicles wheel grip into play and also tells you whether it's true change time. ????
  13. All I can tell you is of my driving experiences in aquaplaining conditions on many occasions driving 2WD and 4WD cars. You do not float like a boat for a long time in aquaplaining conditions it doesn't sound like you have experienced the situation in a 4WD or AWD drive vehicle.
  14. I think you miss the point in general road aquaplaining conditions 4WD or AWD has a great advantage over 2WD.
  15. Yeah as I always say I think Toyota's trucks are a lot tougher that some people think, when do terrorist put into a Toyota service station to get there's serviced. ????????
  16. Just another incident that happens around some Thai men, lucky he had a gun or it would be the usual 4 on to 1.
  17. I had never drove car like trucks like they have in Thailand, when I got the Vigo 4x4 auto I found the back end so unstable put it in 4W it was a different truck. I was told you should not used on hard pavement so I said what about slippery wet pavement oh no, what's the point of that. I lost the back going Maesot on a bend where water and mud had come across the road and down the side of the road backwards both feet hard on the brakes, so much for ABS going backwards ????. Damaged rear hitting a tree so when I got the truck back from repairs I drove it in 4x4 all the time except in a town going slow or turning into a garage. I drove in 4W for 5 years like that and when I sold it the auto box shown no signs of fault it was working the same as new.
  18. Yeah some older 4 stroke bikes were fun never been a 2 stoke fan though. Ridden most any bike from 60's onwards. The Panther was my first bike borrowed and rode many others BSA, Ariel, Norton, Velocett and Triumphs were what I owned until to my father's horror I came home with the best bike of the time the first Superbike Honda's CB750. That bike made me criticle of any other bike around at the time there was nothing like it.
  19. Ghost town. Getting back to pre pandemic I think that will take sometime but who knows.
  20. I like my bike it has nothing more on it than what a bike really needs. I'm in control I like that. Braking distance and handling are as good as any bike of today in experienced hands. This is my second Blade they never tank slap if they are set up right they shake there head a little bit under hard exceleration over 7000 revs that's because the front wheel is going light it's nothing to worry about and you don't always need to ride like that, they go around corners on rails.
  21. Up to you. ????
  22. Our village at historical park has loads of people coming back, there more and more coming week after week and getting much busier now. I can see August being busy.
  23. History :- Old Sukhothai City where I live is where Siam first began as a country. New Sukhothai city is the main town of the province of today.
  24. My bike is 29 year's old this year.
