Assault on Kiev: Russian helicopters swoop above Ukraine's capital
Kwasaki replied to Chris.B's topic in The War in Ukraine
Just one thing the tanks still over 11,000 left. As you say Russia doesn't care. -
Fair call, I guess you could look into the history spec of the engine that is used. The machine tooling and precision of engine parts are very accurate these days. In most cases it's the bits outside the engine that fail these days and that had got better over the years. With the world apparently going electric I would be more interested in the reliability of a Electric MG.

If Thailand is getting tougher for expats, how about Vietnam?
Kwasaki replied to webfact's topic in General Topics
Many Chinese are intertwined into Thailand, there are many Thais Chinese so that has nothing to do with expats. I'm wanted to know what's OP's tough on expats is all about. -

My take on that is Russia will stop at Moldova and give assurances if they able to get that far. -

For sure but I don't let it worry me or even think about it until threads like this and the thought will soon be gone. July my marriage extension is due must remember to take in the bottle black label Johny Walker. ???? -

Probably but what I don't get is what's this thread all about Thailand getting tough on expats. If Thailand are tough it has only be brought about because of corrupt people and scumbags staying here. -

I guess his from England and if you say anything but the correct thing you can be prosecuted. I don't think you can put what UK people call the many immigrants types in UK even on here. -

I sincerely hope I don't have to leave Thailand in my lifetime. Vietnam would not be my choice either, Phillipines would be and always has been my plan 'B'. -
I believe it's up the DLT you go to I had no problem with a bike not being taxed for 6.1/2 years. They just needed to inspect it but experts here will tell ya different.
-
When are you going renew it ? I renewed road tax on a bike that wasn't taxed for 6.1/2 years using the green book in someone else name. I paid for 7 years plus a big fine of about 100 baht or so. Then I went about changing the name to my Mrs, changing number plate.

I like to read what experts post. ????

You just go get CTPL govt insurance then go get road tax you just pay back tax years and massive fine of about 1 baht per year.

UK PAssport renewal - Agent to process ?
Kwasaki replied to CharlieH's topic in UK & Europe Topics and Events
Fair call and not too sure but I thought passport applications can be done on-line now without having to send the expiring passport, just send an up to date photo. I renewed my passport 2 years ago with an agent no trouble at all apart from covid delays, key-visa who doesn't seem to be working anymore. -
UK PAssport renewal - Agent to process ?
Kwasaki replied to CharlieH's topic in UK & Europe Topics and Events
Just so other do not get worried about above post. For a long time since 2015 as far as I remember it was stated in the Bkk Post by a head immigration officer in Bkk that to carry a original passport with you at all times was unreasonable. Tourist can carry a copy of their passports and expats living here can use their Thai Driving Licence as proof of an ID. That has been the same for me on many occasions over the years at police checks. The only place my passport goes is a bank or at immigration. When I used an agent to renew my passport EMS was used both ways with paperwork, passport and when processed the return of my old passport with my new one. -
Assault on Kiev: Russian helicopters swoop above Ukraine's capital
Kwasaki replied to Chris.B's topic in The War in Ukraine
As you say that's why Putin has ordered it to be seal off. Ukraine has asked for a cease fire and a safe corridor again. They said there are 500 wounded soldiers and 500 civilians that they want to get out in exchange for captured Russian troops. -

No why would I, have only read BBC report saying Putin's ordered them to seal it so he can use the soldiers in other places.
