I reckon if the guy does a runner he probably hasn't got insurance and I would also add not a reasonable person to deal with. That's what 1st class is all about and only thing you do is report it the police and give them the footage. My truck was hit by kids on a bike from a poor family, I paid to have it fixed. Is was not worth the aggro.

The Loud exhaust gang - The net is tightening !

Reading the Thai law roads rules as you said as broken pistons said it's ammended to all 95db, a couple of pages on it reads about testing mentioning 95db & over 125cc 99db. The TIS stamp seems to be a problem for many riders here. At my testing Station and our local DLT it's not a problem. In UK it's 74db and is checked at MOT before MOT you can fit aftermarket but race cans are stamped not for road use. Exhaust system designs can be quite different now with catalytic's and valve systems. My old bike in UK would be allowed through the MOT at 87db because it's still the OEM original exhaust design from the manufacturing date. I would have no objection to fitting a TIS muffler but not until our test station tells me. -
Is this the end of Thailand as a Retirement Destination

Qatar was in no way as bad as AS was in Qatar 40years ago working there a good way outside of Doha but stayed in a villa in Doha which was a shanty town then except for a modern mall. You could buy so much alcohol per month via your Qatar Sponsor who use to come to the villa he owned and rented out to us and have a beer with us. We drunk in a bar set up by British Airways helicopter engineers also which was in there compound. I had a contract to put a new roof on a Urine plant and me and a work friend were there for 18 months using Asian labour to help with the construction. -

That's a gay scoot. ???? It's another completely different meaning to riding a Night Rod. ???? -
Please yourself. My Thai mates did some research by actually using them last as long as double the price tyres. Better throw out the Chinese parts you have on your Vigo.

Recently in the last couple of months read a Thai road laws page on TIS exhaust because my bike didn't have TIS 28 years ago. Found a page on noise and it stated there 95 for small bikes 99 for big bikes. I was gonna save it I wish I did now. -

Not at all DLT's mod can still be legal. They pass my bike because it's old before any Regs. -

That's one lousy test centre you should of taken the bike to a DLT for a test and reported the test center. -

95db is for small bikes considered up to 400cc 99db is for big bikes. What it is offering grasses is rewards for reporting illegal riding. Even a TIS box can be noisy. What about older bikes pre-TIS Regs. -

If I was younger I'd be concerned but after 25 Cop and 26 probably another 27+ I will "just leave it out" too. ???? -
Depends where you live, and if you don't say so members in your area can't help, it's best to get prices from local recommended people.

I remember being told that as well but was still dumped at 72 because of a change of policy. Be careful out there all those years of payments gone I just take care and have regular check ups. -
