  1. just ask the maid of your neighbor, she will recommend several.

Thats what we did, we interviewed 6 before we found one we liked. The neighbors maid set up all the "interviews"... And Valentine is correct. You need to check on paper work, if they don't have it, its best to take them to get it. We did, and where happy we did, as a couple of times the police came through our neighborhood and arrested/took large bribes from several of the maids that did not have the paper work.

Exactly what we did and it has worked out just perfect. 8K a month is on the money.

  2. Most people dont realise that the grinder is actually more important than the espresso machine. If the grind is not even the result will be poor regardless of the quality of the espresso machine. The problem in Phuket is lack of choice. There are a number of retailers in Bkk who sell very good home/semi commercial grinders for around 20,000 baht. What kind of coffee machine and grinder do you have? The grinder i would recommend is this one which is available in Bkk. http://coffeegeek.co...ok/baratzavario

You are absolutely correct, actually I have been just buying Illy coffee grounds for years and using them in my Gaggia Espresso machine, but the price of Illy has got ridiculous now about 800 Baht for 250grams. A friend of mine recently visited and bought with him 5 Kg of Illy Coffee Beans so that is why I am now on a mission to find a good grinder, I have tried 2 different ones so far but they are pretty much useless. I checked out your link and the Baratza looks good and as I will be in Bangkok shortly I will try to find one.

  3. Does anyone know where to buy a good coffee grinder, I have tried 2 different burr grinders so far but they are unable to grind fine enough for a good espresso.

    Thanks in advance

  4. No, legalisation of docuemnts can only be done in Bangkok, at the consuar section of the ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Most agencies that translate the documents also will take care of the legalisation for you. Contact a few in Bangkok and have hem do it for you.

    Bugger.. Thanks for your help

  5. I believe that Phuket now has its own Ministry of Foreign Affairs, can anyone tell me that address. I am planning on getting married and I need to have the translated documents legalized. Can this be done at the Phuket office?

    Thanks for your help
