1.
Off-topic posts discussing an irreverent nickname used for former prime minister Chavalit Yongchaiyudh have been deleted. Please refer to people with their correct names.
--
Maestro

Double standard. Will any post addressing current PM as Mark be deleted too?

It is a fact that MORE people know Chavalit nickname than Abisit nickname.

    Back to the subject.

Can the Thai government charge Chavalit for Treason?

  2. Mark have no guts to speak to Hun Sen face to face.

They just met and dine together only a week or two ago.

The two never spoke (or harly spoke).

All that the Thai government PR said was that everything was already cleared, it was a small misunderstanding.

Question is: Why is Mark afraid to speak to Hun Sen, or will that make Mark "Loss Face".

Question: Will Mark speak to Hun Sen in Japan (this week), or will that make Mark "Loss Face" too?

  3. Cambodia Names Thailand’s Thaksin Economic Adviser, Xinhua Says

    By Mark Tannenbaum

Nov. 4 (Bloomberg) -- Cambodia’s government has named Thaksin Shinawatra, the exiled former prime minister of Thailand, as an economic adviser, Xinhua News Agency reported, citing a statement today from the Cambodian government.

Thaksin was also appointed to serve as a private adviser to Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, the report said. The appointment was made on Oct. 27, Xinhua said.

Thaksin, ousted in a 2006 coup, is wanted in Thailand after being sentenced to a two-year prison term last year for abuse of power. Thailand and Cambodia are neighbors that have clashed in the past year over border disputes.

  4. Cambodia appoints Thaksin as govt adviser

    (AFP) – 1 hour ago

PHNOM PENH — Cambodia has appointed former Thai prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra as economic adviser to premier Hun Sen and his administration, a Cambodian government statement said on Wednesday.

The statement, read out on state television, said Thaksin would serve "as personal adviser to Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen and the adviser to the Cambodian government in charge of economy".

The appointment, by royal decree, came almost two weeks after Hun Sen riled Thailand by offering safe haven to Thaksin, who was ousted in a coup in 2006 and is living abroad to avoid corruption charges.

PTTEP loss 5.5% yesterday partly due to the foreign media showing the buring rig clip available in the internet (I think from AP). BBC CNN and the usual big news agent have video clip on air as well.

I am surprise that Thai Channel 3 this morning, on Khun Sorrayuth (pardon my spelling, as I am not Thai) show the horrible burning rig clip as well. I hope the Thai government step in to band Channel 3 for showing the clip, which may cause another panic (like yesterday).

The stock continue to fall, dragging down the whole market, as PTTEP and PTT are the 2 biggest caps in the market.
