  1. He shouldn't be giving a controversial view on anything that isn't his speciality. However, yto answer your question. Years ago I was in the Royal Navy. Watching ships at sea disappear over the horizon is one of my experiences. This link explains in simple terms more than just satellites https://crosstalk.cell.com/blog/seven-ways-to-prove-earth-is-round
  2. Of course I do, we also watch Discovery together. My worry is that I have no control over what a teacher is filling their heads with. I wanted to engage on here and hear others views first before I go in with both feet at the school. I think it will be a joined up complaint by us parents
  3. He is teaching them maths and I believe his maths teaching is good but boring. He seems to have a lack of interpersonal skills and just goes through the curriculum. My worry is what he is saying outside of his given subject
  4. I hope that by enquiring on here to get a spread of views, I am taking some responsibility.
  5. We (parents) have just found out that the maths teacher in my daughters school is trying to persuade the pupils that the world is flat. Before we (parents) complain to the school, I thought I would seek advise from the teachers in this forum. Do you think this teacher is trying to push their boundaries of thinking? Is he using a mathematical theory or is he just a nutter? I'm really not keen with someone believing the earth is flat, teaching my daughter anything.
  6. I'm not far from there. Do they sell new or just repair?
  7. Yeah. She has Thai Id card and goes to an International school. Is that discount at Studio 7 mentioned above?
  8. Anyone recommend an Apple Shop in Pattaya please. Someone told me there might be one in Tuk Com but I've reservations about that place. Unless someone recommends it. Looking for iPhone 14 for my daughter
  9. Thanks Joe. I'll pay a visit to immigration on Monday and ask them for some advice
  10. Sorry to step in. I will start a new topic if required but my worry is closely linked. The point you have just made has me very concerned. My Non Imm O based on marriage extension expires on 30th June. I was going to go to immigration next week to do my new extension and ask for a re-entry permit at the same time as I am flying to the UK on the 4th July for a 3 week holiday. Is it possible to do this as I didn't realise there was a 30 day under consideration time line. Again sorry for interjecting
  11. I'm happy with the bike. We have already had a detailed video call but it is cash on delivery and no money will change hands until I'm happy. The bike isn't my concern I just want to make sure he has the correct documentation and signs in the right place so I can change the title
  12. Hi all. Looking at buying a second hand scooter and would like to know how to change the names in the book from the current owner to mine ( or my wife). In particular, I have seen a bike and discussed with the seller over FB messenger. Done a live video call and it ticks all the boxes but it's in Korat so I want him to ship it and I'll pay on delivery. He's agreed to this but I just want to know what needs to be done. Does he just send the book with the bike and that bit from his end or is there something else?
  13. New to this as when I bought my car it was brand new, so the dealer did all the paperwork. I'll start a new topic. ????
  14. Another quickie if I may. Is there a thread on here of the steps you take in buying a second hand bike? I.e how do you change the owner title and make sure the seller doesn't owe money etc. Many thanks
  15. Nah. Not worth buying it really. I'll either pay more for one with a book or go for a Royal Alloy or Scomadi
  16. Wow. That's knocked the idea on its head. Thanks very much for the info ????
  17. That's really why I'm asking if there is a way to do it, before I actually purchase one. If or instance it's possible and only cost about 10,000 baht I'd be prepared to go through the hassle as I'd have a nice little project that I would do to my taste. Thanks for the link though, definitely consider that option.
  18. Wonder if anyone knows a way to solve this. I'm thinking about purchasing a 1964(ish) Vespa and doing it up. The one I have seen is an Indian model and comes with no book. Is there any way I could legally drive this once restored?
