"Tourists were probably intrigued, however, as Thailand rarely enjoys such cold weather". Enjoys may not be the word tourists would use for this.

Fuzzy math.

"their loan agreements with the bank were rejected as they lack the credibility". Not trustworthy or not having good credit? Both me thinks.

And Chile will be exporting to Thailand...bat guano?

For some reason the Finance Ministry didn't use "a shopping hub" for Thailand and this scheme. But I'm sure someone will let them know that Thailand is the hub of hubs (mecca just doesn't cut it) and this oversight will be corrected very soon.

4 of 10. I'll take a seat in the back of the plane.

How about "dropping" all the charges and stop the whole charade?
Thailand is making itself ridiculous in face of the whole world by keeping this charade going on.
The Red Bull heir will NEVER see a prison from the inside.
Nuff said
I don't think the whole world are watching........I doubt this gets a mention outside Thailand unless someone abroad is making an article on wayward S.E Asian heirs, unlikely.
He will certainly pay for it, but in the Thai way. Quite a few Thais are calling for a prison sentence, but truths if the victim was their family they would rather the money than he serve the prison time. And if it was their son who caused the accident they would rather pay for his "mistake" in cash than he do the time.
So a little moral outrage in Thai Rath, but business as usual even though the whole country is watching.
Maybe not the whole world but it has made MSN website news page here in the US. So it is getting some airplay outside of Thailand. Guess the people who read this will see just how backa$$wards the Thai justice system is.

I didn't see Barney the purple dinosaurs name on the list. He's all full of love and reconciliation. Fit right in. Maybe sing a song or two. Happy Thailand.

Right now he is probably enjoying those new Carl Jr's pop-tart ice cream sandwiches and having a good time somewhere in America.
-
Maybe he would like to come and have some of the fine Thai rice, which has been sitting in a warehouse for a few
days monthsyears, and served personally by Yingluck. -
Think these emoticons about sum up the article.

Business as usual. Scapegoats a dime (3 baht) a dozen in Thailand.
-
Lets look on the bright side. Just think of all the extra rice in the warehouses that the rats have to eat. Speaking of rats....

The ingenuity of the Thai scientific community is simple amazing. First we have a 1000 boat propeller brigade to fight the flooding. Now we have planes flying clockwise and counter clockwise dropping into the air what is basically urine, urea to make a big black hole. (As a side note, urea is good for melting snow on airport runways.) And we have rice that can be stored in government warehouses for years on end and not even rot. Oh wait. They haven't come up with that one yet.

7 years? Is that in Thai years or the rest of the world years? Better to start to work on it today.

Saw the headline and thought the article was from "Not The Nation". I saved precious eyesight by not reading it.

I believe this is where the thousand boats on the river plan will come in handy. Just use water power for the propellers to generate electricity. Of course will have to sting a 1000 electric wires haphazardly from the boats to the shore but those will blend right in all the other wires that look like that in the city.

12 million Facebook users and and counting and Thailand/Bangkok govt.wants more. Just means more employees standing or sitting around doing social networks and not actually working. Umm. Guess it's just a high-tech new way to not gets things done here in Thailand.

From what I read elsewhere this is an annual thing. Preventive maintenance. (Something Thailand does not do for the most part. ) But for some reason this year it's all gloom and doom for Thailand unless you cut back on your electric usage. Maybe Thailand can be the hub of power outages this year.

As the police raid lasted more than 4 hours, it was suggested that the police seek medical attention.

As with any new technology you probably don't want to be the first in line to get it. Many airlines think the same. Wait awhile until the bugs are worked out. JAL and ANA got the planes with the bugs as they took the first orders. United has 7? of the planes and no problems so far. By the time Thai gets delivery the problems should be fixed. You'd hope so or Boeing will be getting a lot of cancelled orders.

Certainly it doesn't cost that much for 1,000 boats with propellers.
