  1. The questions, remains, though, who was the source of this information, and why did you believe it? It's the kind of number that should arouse at least a bit of scepticism. Well there are many articles out there. I have read 3 separate Forbes articles each claiming a different amounts, also stating that he has money invested overseas - what ever that insinuates. So does any of us really know. Some state $110million others state higher so if it is only $20million, it is confusing why Forbes - to mention just one, cannot give reasonably accurate total. There are many articles all conflicting, and as stated I have read 3 different figures from Forbes alone. But as a mere mortal, I hold my hands up and state that I am happy to be corrected.
  2. OK interesting and if true I hold my hands up and say I have read wrong info. good to be corrected sometimes.

  4. Soi Khao Noi this morning (up by Murphy's Irish Bar) had music (thump, thump) booming out at 05.15am this morning and every morning. There is a metal shack that resembles a karaoke bar. I know the time because that is the same time our alarm is set to wake grandson up for school. But we never need the alarm and mostly awake from that awful racket. I am surprised nobody has complained and they having a visit from local B.I.B. They look like they could never afford a brown envelope, maybe that's why no B.I.B has bothered visiting them.
  5. I was in the sun last Thursday and after 2 hours 15 minutes was given a number to wait to be called. There was no where to wait as all spaces taken up. Families with young children were also waiting. It was a bloody nightmare.

  8. As a 68 year old I can understand anyone of 70 years old wanting to do their thing. I have so many friends and relatives that never made it to retirement, so I say live and let live- no one knows how long we have on this planet.
  9. Hi I recently flew back into Thailand with a 90 day single entry Non-Imm O visa and wish to change to visa based on retirement. What documents do I need and when is it best to do ? T.I.A
  10. So they have just given the ringleader ample time to escape overseas by mentioning an arrest warrant is being sought. How long does that take - 10 minutes ? So why the need to mention it in advance ????

  12. If they fine drivers who do not stop then after a few fines take their vehicles and either impound them until they pay a really hefty fine or failure crush their vehilcles. Short shock treatment might be only way.
  13. Ralf001 - It's just the very aggressive manner in which you responded to the OP. Thats why I said 'My my get out of the wrong side of the bed'. Why be so aggressive ? Does it serve any purpose ?
  14. vandeventer - "Compared to the rest of the world Thailand is low on homicides and low on crime" Where do you get those statistics from ? I think you will find homicide here is far more prevelant than back in UK or Europe.
  15. I flew in early December and was not given a 'Pink slip' or asked to do a PCR test later, so is this something brought in later or has the airport/hotel failed to give me ?
  16. I thought I read last week that from last Friday you do not need to take a PCR test to return to the UK. Someone tell me-was I dreaming ?
  17. There does not appear to be a 'Red Notice' out on him, so is someone telling porkies ?
