i always say its easy to spot the new arrivals as they are sweating like a rich falang in a karaoke bar...
When you write "falang", do you mean what in an English dictionary is written as "farang"?

300 Baht is quite low, considering what they've lost in waving visas for Indians and Chinese.
It's the principle that matters.
"It won't reduuce the number of tourists", a government official was quoted as saying. Let them get away with 300 Baht and before long, it will be increased, then increased again, and again, and again...

"Perhaps" is the operative word. It makes the post entirelessly useless. Perhaps it does and perhaps if does not.

I looked it up for you and it is not an antibiotic.
"Rapamycin and its derivatives are inhibitors of mTOR. These drugs are approved for use in anticancer therapies, rejection prophylaxis after organ transplant, drug-eluting coronary stents, and the treatment of lymphangioleiomyomatosis and tuberous sclerosis."

Rapamycin
Rapamycin looks like the brand name of an antibiotic.
Write the name of the active ingredient on piece of paper and show this at the pharmacy. Available without a prescription.

Did the two pharmacies you went to perhaps not have a pharmacist on duty? Go to a big pharmacy.

'And moments later'
The operative phrase
There was no warning no time to put on seatbelts
One of the news articles mentioned that the plane sharply rose 100 feet, then dropped 300 feet and subsequently made a pilot-controlled descent of 6,000 feet.
Question to the aviators: did the sharp, uncontrolled ascent automatically activate the seatbelt signs or did a member of the cockpit crew have to do it manually?

A good English translation of Thailand's Drugs Act is here:
"Section 5. The Minister of Public Health shall have charge and control of the
execution of this Act, and the power to appoint competent officials, issue Ministerial
Regulations prescribing fees not exceeding the rates attached to this Act, granting fee
exemptions and determine other operations for the execution of this Act."- 1

Someone should tell this permanent secretary of the Ministry of Education that it is the Ministry of Public Health that has the authority and the duty to categorise drugs (medicines)

Actually, they did not "return" to Singapore, since it was a scheduled non-stop flight from London to Singapore but with a non-scheduled emergency landing in Bangkok. Therefore, one could say that they moved on or continued to Singapore, their intended destination. For the passengers who are residents of Singapore, one could of course say that they returned home to Singapore.
QuoteThey were originally headed somewhere else I recall ...?
The news articles did not mention whether any passengers on the Singapore Airlines flight had connecting flights booked to another destination.
