Not yet available. I am staying tuned to this forum for further news. If the DTAC will be implemented starting 1 May 2025, I expect a link for the data entry to be published not later than 23:59 hours (12.59pm) on 29 April. -
Foreigners Face New Hurdles in Opening Thai Bank Accounts

There are no signs that opening bank accounts are getting easier. -
Thailand Joins BRICS, Strengthening Economic and Global Alliances
Puccini replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I have a feeling that Thailand’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Maris Sangiampongsa, does not know what he is talking about. The way I understand it, BRICS is about using currencies other than the United States dollar (USD) for international trading between member countries of BRICS if the seller and buyer agree on the currency to use, nothing more. It has to do absolutely nothing with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Incidentally, the choice to use a currency other than USD has always existed, long before the advent of BRICS. -

U.S. Voices Concerns Over Thailand’s New Tech Crime Law
Puccini replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Wait and see. The decree will override any bank's terms and conditions. With a decree saying that the banks and "mobile operators" are jointly responsible "for any customer losses due to technological crimes", for example when a customer has given the login details to the criminals in response to a phishing email, banks will likely stop offering e-banking services or restrict them severely. -

Bye-bye, e-banking in Thailand. Details of the new emergency decree are kept secret until the decree is published in the Royal Gazette, but based on the details given in the news article it will render all existing e-banking contracts between banks and their customers null and void. -
Thailand's New 300-Baht Tourism Tax: Aid or Hindrance?

Thailand's New 300-Baht Tourism Tax: Aid or Hindrance?
Puccini replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
That's exactly the plan being discussed by the various government departments involved in the process. The latest news about it indicates that the TDAC (Thailand Digital Arrival Card) may be launched first (current target date 1 May 2025) and the tourist tax collection integrated with it before the high tourist season starts. https://www.nationthailand.com/news/tourism/40046796https://www.nationthailand.com/news/tourism/40046796 -
@geisha This is an example of a topic to which you and I and everyone else cannot reply: It has this notice in red at the bottom: This topic is now closed to further replies Is this the type of topic you're talking about?

A link to an example would still have been helpful. As it stands, you seem to refer to locked topics to which nobody can reply, except perhaps an administrator or moderator. Therefore, it's nothing personal directed at you.

Thailand's New 300-Baht Tourism Tax: Aid or Hindrance?
Puccini replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
If only holders of Thai passports were to be exempt fom the tourist tax it would have been easy to include it in the price of the airline ticket but, aside from othr complications, the tourist tax is not limited to arrivals at airports -
@geisha This has never happened to me. With what post did you experience this? I would like to see if it also happens to me with the same post.

The following was probably the link with which you underlined your text but it did not show as a clickable link: https://www.timeout.com/news/these-are-all-the-destinations-youll-need-to-pay-extra-to-visit-this-year-020224 There is a pinned post in Forum Support Desk explaining that most hyperlinks no longer work, which means that we have to give them separately in full text. https://aseannow.com/topic/1347382-the-posting-of-hyperlinks/?do=getNewComment -

Electric Shock Scare Puts Thai League Safety in Spotlight
Puccini replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Shouldn't the Condominium Juristic Person office have this document Aor.6 on file and be able to show it or give a copy of it to the owner of a condo unit? To ask the Condominium Juristic Person office for it, it would be helpful to know the Thai spelling of the document. I doubt that the office staff or the staff at the "land office" or "a good lawyer" would be familiar with the your romanised transcription Aor.6 I searched the worldwide web for it but found nothing useful. -

Using Peganum Harmala to improve BPH symptoms

As there was no placebo group in the relevant study, https://journalrip.com/Article/JRIP_20161228153646 it is difficult to tell. I note that you mentioned that "this plant can be toxic" and personally, with any phytopharmakon based on a toxic plant I would be concerned about its LD50 https://www.ccohs.ca/oshanswers/chemicals/ld50.html and its therapeutic index (TI) https://clinicalinfo.hiv.gov/en/glossary/therapeutic-index-ti -
Finding Good Reliable Generic Drugs in Thailand
Puccini replied to kingofallasians's topic in Health and Medicine
In the topic title you wrote "Finding Good Reliable Generic Drugs in Thailand" In your first post in this topic you wrote " Where can I go to find the cheapest generic drugs?...I need Lexapro." These were your two questions. Both have been answered reliably and I see that there has also been a lot of off-topic chitchat and bickering and more of it will probably follow. Brace yourself for it.
