All these wonderful policies and U turns ,distortion of the truth, ambiguous statements are indeed much like a dog chasing its own tail.
It is not so normal when politicians chase their tail. For a politician there can be several causes of the tail chasing episodes. The cause for the tail chasing could be physical, neurological, behavioral or a combination of these causes.
Great example. Maybe if the Thai Politicians followed through with what they promised people would actually like them.

Corrupt monks, Anything new?
When i became a monk some of the monks had multiple girlfriends that visited on different days. They also just sat around and smoked all day.

OMG. What a sad story.
why sad?
"I just wnated to learn how to produce meth, but I didn't want to relly make meth"
sure. perfectly logical.
Its sad even though he broke a law when doing this, Its sad because death for such a small measly crime. I think drug laws here are way overboard. 3 years in thai jail is punishment enough.
-
Personally i think Thailand goes way over board on "Drugs" The death penalty for .005kgs of meth? Cmon now. Thats Absurd. They should use the American system, Its not what some people would like the drugs situation to be but its much much less harsh.

OOOOOH really? Where is this? I shall be near =D
-
Isnt 3 years a bit short for being responsible for 60+ deaths?
-
That is much lower than I ever would have thought. I do know of some smoking 3 year old in Cambodia or Laos or sometyhing that smokes a few packs a day.

It sounds like youre a half Thai so working here with those qualifications shouldnt be a problem but the pay is much lower than what you would expect in the west. If youre a farang then forget it. Youre much better off in the west with academic qualifications.
Im 100% american no asian or thai in me. I forgot to mention that i lived there for a year 2009-2010 as an exchange student

You need to go to Thailand , see what it's like , talk to some Frangs in that line of work , get a feel for the place , then go home , toss a two headed coin, then think. There probably will be at least two coups before you finish your education, keep that in mind.

Come and live here and that should give you a few answers.
I lived there already for 1 year as an exchange student.

Well this will be nice, maybe if i go to a darn 711 or another store i will not find my self broke due to no creditcard machine and my withdraw limit maxed. That hapenned all the time

I am planning on doing a double major with asian studies and economics in college. Then i plan on going to law school after that. After school i want to move to thailand and do work either at a law firm in thailand or do work for an american company in thailand. I speak english ( obiviously ) and am nearly fluent in thai. Would i beable to earn enough money to live comfortably? and is my decision a good one?
-
Emerse your self in a group of thai people trying to speak as much as you can and trying not to speak english despite everyone wanting to practice their english with you. You will learn very quickly. Thats how i learned when i was there for a year as an exchange student in a thai public school with a thai host family. It might be slot at first but you will eventually pick up on things.

Now sell it to Burma to help the Thai economy =D

So, im 17 and almost 18 and next summer i will be going to visit my girlfriend in Thailand next year. I also hope to improve my thai while i am there. She recomended that i go to AUA in Pattaya to learn Thai because it is where she studies english and it is reasonably close to where she lives. I can speal pretty well have conversations, read well, and write a small amount. What would you all reccomend? Or are there any better places to study thai that are near Sri Racha?

Of course if something like this was passed as law, they would also have to concede that common law "marriages" between males and females being legally recognised as well.
Why? If a male and female want to get married now, they can. Two like sexes cannot. I Don't understand your statement.
He means if that there has to be a law for same sex couples to get married there should be a law for male and female marriages too.
This is off topic but does a ladyboy count as a male or a female in marriage?

This seems a bit unfair, but if when he was discharged he was already over his visa limit, why did he wait a week before checking it out? I have a feeling this isnt the whole story
-
I doubt this will stick too well. I bet alot of people will continue to be payed under 300baht a day.
While i was in pattaya i hung out with a few agogo girls for a while and their monthly salary was 3000 baht with 1 day off a week. So this increase would be big step for alot of people. Also would this apply to all types of work? Or only things like construction and factory jobs?

Ive noticed this, i rarely talk to my family. Its only maybe 5 % because of social networks. Dont forget the many online games that Thai kids seem to always be playing,

So, no young girls running their hands all over your body looking for contraband. Seems like a huge step backwards to me.
Agreed
-
I am not going through no body scanners...this is not Ameri(k)a. If they want to search me, they can, but do not treat us like f**king criminals or terrorists. You can introduce them all you want, but I am not going through those highly radioactive emitters-10 times than normal; not to mention someone(s) viewing your naked body.
Good luck getting in and out of Thailand by Air then. :jap:
Dont worry as long as ur not trying to take drugs in and out ull be fine. Also before going on the terrible 30-40 hour trips to america you wana get strip searched first? id like the scanner

Im not suprised most Thais dont have much respect for foreigners. Most 30 year old men dont throw temper tantrums in public.

Why dont they let him back in the country but not allow him to hold political power?
