Good job!   Hadn't heard of that solution before (course, mine always nest on the underside of eaves and the patio (guess I could bag up the whole house....wife might get suspicious though).

    Why not?

A wasp problem at the Reichstag.

    Possibly

folks who love perfect weather & temperatures

Folks who love clean air & water

Folks who love beauty of nature unspoiled by sewage dumping into the ocean etc

Folks who love to swim in clear oceans & hike thru beautiful tropical rain forests that have no snakes or any other deadly creatures

    As for the USA part

Yes but do not forget many of us were also in Hawaii for generations before the USA/Falangs overthrew the Hawaiian Monarchy to steal a strategic  port

called Pearl Harbor & then give Hawaiians the choice<sic> of either becoming a State with all the benefits or becoming a territory

But even now Hawaiians & Falangs coexist in Hawaii/USA peacefully knowing they do have a supportive government especially as shown in recent times

of crisis..The same government that also sent Thailand millions of real vaccines

Lastly many prefer living in Hawaii & not  living in a Junta ruled dictatorship for now with all the loss of benefits that came with that for both Thai's & Falangs alike

    Well, good for you.

I've lived in Thailand under army control and under democratic control. For the person in the street, there is no noticeable difference.

If everyone wanted to live in Hawaii more than where they live now....imagine the hell-hole Hawaii would become.

  3. Hmmmm. Historically, the party that isn't in the white house does very well in the mid-terms.

But, this time, due to very unpopular positions held by Republicans, it might not be as large as Republicans hope.

The overthrow of Roe vs Wade and what this could mean for Gay marriage and other hard won freedoms.

    Virtual inaction on mass shootings.

Revelations of many Republicans supporting and having a hand in the insurrection.

I think it looks like Vespidae Polistinae, the common paper wasp.

They don't usually attack unless provoked and are actually quite useful in the garden as both a pollinator, and as a predator of caterpillars and other insects.

Having said that, as they would be provoked every time you try to put your hand into your letterbox, I would wait until after dark when they are least active, don some heavy full cover clothing including boots and gloves and a mesh screen ( a fishing net does a good job) for your head, then spray the nest liberally with Chaindrite.

Repeat aver several nights to catch strays who may have returned to the nest after the initial treatment.

Once you feel safe enough, remove the old nest (it's quite soft and made from bark and leaves) and re-spray the letterbox with some surface insecticide. Repeat every 3 months to discourage returnees.

    Polistinae

Don't think so. Firstly, it doesn't have a single yellow band around it's black abdomen. Paper wasp looking at your link has a brown abdomen.

Secondly, the thorax and abdomen are not connected by an extremely thin tube.

At least we agree that it is a wasp.

Here is a better picture than the previous one I posted.

Remember if doing the laparoscopic procedure there will only be 3 or 4 cuts of less than an inch and can be covered with a Band-Aid/plaster.

I had a single incision of half an inch that bisected my belly-button.

You heal a lot quicker and the chances of infection are a lot less than the open type surgery.

You wouldn't know a liar if they bit your nose as your whole Fox news and Republican generated news is one large lie.

Also, I only ever posted once about demonstrators dying and that figure was five people.

  7. I went to see a doctor about something else completely different and when they did an ultra-sound, they also discovered gall-stones.

The doctor said that the gall-stones could be removed, but eventually they would come back. He recommended removal of the gall-bladder using keyhole surgery.

All went well and I only stayed in hospital for 24 hours after the surgery.

I got the same advice as tarteso, eat less fat and more veggies.

    The body still makes bile.

Can't give any recommendations on hospitals as I live elsewhere in Thailand.
