The important thing is that the spirit in the tree was removed first before cutting it down. Similar thing in Phuket. Then had them all replaced by palms at 10k each. He then promptly retired. The palms were supplied by his brother.

A few years back, a poll was performed here in Thailand. The question was "Would you engage in corruption if the outcome benefited you personally?". If memory serves, 72% of Thais said they would. When the figures were broken down further, the under-25's polled 77% that they would engage in corruption. I think putting your faith in youth and education is logical, but mistaken.

As far as I know, that is not true. Nearly everyone has had one shot, but, not two. The people that have had two will mostly have been vaccinated with Sinovac which has proved ineffective against the Delta variant, which is the one that is causing infections now. The only other vaccine that was available is the AZ which has 12 weeks between shots. Not counting infections isn't very smart. Asymptomatic people can pass on the virus just as visibly as sick people can. I would go as far as saying asymptomatic people spread the virus even more than sick people. If you're sick, people know to keep their distance. So......what would only counting sick people achieve? As far as I can see, it only decreases the number which is misleading. More testing is needed to catch the asymptomatic people. PS. I live in Phuket.

I ride a small motorbike and I never stop at zebra crossings. If I did, I'd be mown down by the car behind me. Nearly happened when I started driving here and started slowing down for the crossing. These crossings only work if a Thai (hotel employee) first steps out with a small stop sign.

It used to be LGBT, then LGBTQ which could be remembered. Now it is LGBTQIA+. What the h3ll does that mean? How is the average person supposed to remember that? The acronym is now longer than many words. Why not just invent a word that encompasses all that the acronym means? So, could someone spell out what this acronym means....
