That is sweet. I thought that might be the case, but decided it was too good to be true. So any border crossing will do, and I get another 60 days without the marathon hike to Ventiane? Great news, since I will probably have to go for a new non-imm B in another month or so.
Thanks for the info:-)
Any official border crossing will do, but make sure you actually enter the second country by receiving immigration entry stamp for that country before departing/coming back into Thailand. You will get 60 day permission to stay stamp on re-entry.
No you will have to go too ventiane or malaysia leave the country to get another 60 days. i wish it was that easy

Still it is possible to own a land and house in a Thai limited company's name if you structure your affairs in the right manner.
So, what is the right manner? Then we have something to discuss openly.
Many lawyers i know in Bnagkok simply refuse to open a Thai Co. Ltd. if it is just for the purpose of owning land.
And in my eyes they are doing well so.
do not buy land or a house in a thai company name, there are other ways.

If you get to Doi Tung and plan to visit the Golden Triangle (Mae Sai) there's an interesting and very scenic road that connects the two places - great scenery as it runs right along the border on a ridge, don't be put off by the army checkpoints at both ends, it's safe in daylight hours and the scenery is worth the effort!
the best bikeride is to nan, you first have to go to phayao town, then chaing kham, then it is sign posted to nan, beautiful mountains, roads are very good. you mite want to stop in chaing kham and stay the night, there is a kfc and some good eating places.

nanai road, sai nam yen road, soy sansabai, just some of the roads in patong with no footpaths to walk on, and if there is a footpath the shop owners fill them with sign boards, plant pots, tables and chairs. in some parts of thailand there is a law the property has to be 20 meters back from the middle line in the road. dose anyone know about this?

there is a shortful of houses in london, the house prices in london will not drop anymore because there is a demand for property. phuket and parts of thailand do not have that same demand at the moment, the bottom line is people will always need somewhere to live. its just a matter off time before they come too you.
