I guess this is a good lesson of what can happen if you play with hookers. Maybe some members of this forum should take note!
Have you considered that maybe, just maybe, her reaction is a result of the pressure and threats she has received in order to maintain silence on this whole tawdry affair. Not the sort of straightforward business deal you suggest when it involves the man who would be President.

I was collecting alms from the home of a young man when he asked if we could discuss the latest reforms of the monastic order. I suggested we go somewhere a little more private. It was there that I suddenly slipped on a freshly mopped floor just as a sudden gust of wind blew off the man's loose shorts. It was then that he unfortunately fell on top of me and I regret to say his penis unfortunately entered my body. As far as I'm concerned that is the end of the matter.
A perfectly reasonable explanation that some people may find hard to swallow.

Which is why the current Constitution should be thrown out, the previous one reinstated, remove all institutions or nominees the Junta installed or manipulated, then arrest Prayut and Prawit for breaking the law on coups. Then the country can have new elections, no Junta allowed, and anyone who supported the Junta coup should be banned from politics for life.
You seem to overlook one critical fact in your Utopian solution. The Junta is actually a Military Junta. Sadly they are the ones with the GUNS AND TANKS.

On that assumption its probably fair to assume that this 67 yo was obviously not wearing underwear and was acting in a sensuous and provocative manner. Fair go Worgeordie. Lol

I glossed over this story with who wants to see a durian in a bikini. Then I realised they probably meant "girl in a bikini sells durian" not "girl sells durian in a bikini". Anyway turns out it was worth a look. All in the name of sanook sanook.

Follows a similar case. The only difference being 1. The similar case was 2 years ago. 2. The first case a taxi was stolen. 3. The second case a pair of sandals were stolen . The similarity is just eerie. The fact that both offenders were women puts this into the twilight zone.

Neither is Kowalski, O'Reilly or Goldstein but there are many Americans with those names. Are you anti Japanese.

Who are the faceless men/women that make up the Constitutional Court? Are they inspired by pheua Thai or the military?

An apology generally includes the words I was wrong. It should not simply be sorry but Chinese were on my lawn last week and attempt to justify bad and entitled behaviour. You were wrong mate. You should have another go at the apology and leave out the irrelevant mitigation.
Man up!

As in the Mikado "let the punishment fit the crime". Sounds like a minor assault i.e. no injuries, followed by a slanging match. Maybe a hefty fine and the Thai equivilent of a good behaviour bond might suffice. Hardly grounds for deportation even though his actions can only be described as entitled and abhorrent.

That was not me. And the age of sexual consent has nothing to do with alcohol consumption.
Really? I always thought that in the vast majority of cases, not all, that alcohol consumption and sexual consent went hand in glove.

It never really has been a great tourist attraction. 10 years ago the monkeys were roaming around free and raiding nearby shops as well as attacking passerby's... Only in the last few years have the people been complaining. Also they are using the excuse about development in the area taking away the monkeys habitat. But anyone who has been there know that their habitat is the city. And no development would change that. They spouted off about sterilising the monkeys. But they were doing that also the past few years and it did not help. They need to change the city and make a home for all those monkeys if they really want to do something constructive. Perhaps relocate all monkeys to government land and make it a tourist spot. If they don't the monkeys will continue to rule this city as they do now.
It might be better and easier to find a way to relocate and sterilise the people who have caused this with their mid city food festival for monkeys.

Given the horrendous number of fatalities on the roads, and the potential to save so many of them, the importance of the Police General in charge of traffic should be elevated. Thailand's most respected and effective officer seems to be Police General Hakpan "Big Joke". He seems to love a challenge and the Thai people. Save hundreds of lives. Do it.

The only thing now is to tot up the cost of these disastrous policies over the past 2.5 years.
Australia has just done that, with the venerable Institute of Public Affairs estimating that anti-Covid measures cost the taxpayer A$938 billion (about US$620 billion) and were a catastrophic economic and social failure.
There is nothing venerable about the IPA. Its name disguises what is a Liberal party propaganda machine.

Surely broader policing would bring extra revenue and save lives. Fine increases are only about money.

Make a ridiculous statement and insult everyone who picks you up on it. Really mr dodd.

Thai was our first choice for sometime but no more. A muffin for breakfasr after an all night flight finished us with Qantas. An absolute disrespect for economy passengers. Emirates now top our list but cracks are emerging as they seem to be allowing Qantas example to drag Emirates service down to "muffin level".

Is that enough to buy a submarine?

Definately not the glass. This is business, an old score to settle or simply an insult causing loss of face in the very small mind of the shooter.

If bars here charged you when you get your drinks (like every bar in the UK does) this situation would never arise.[a/quote]
And when I visit the UK I'm happy to pay up front and inGermany l count the marks on the coaster and in Thailand I pay the Thai way. Its not how you do it, just make sure you do it!

I enjoy your correct and pragmatic approach to the bare facts in this and subsequent posts on this topic. It's a pity that Bob and Dinsdale don't seem to get it. I agree with their views in general also but yours is pragmatic.
