Why the Thais dont get out on the street and  start a revolution i dont know, you aint going to get anything except crap with this  lot and most likely  the next lot..............well clearly there is  no interest, the laziest race Ive come across, cant drive, cant think, cant do a decent  job in virtually anything they do, never  their fault, no responsibility, stupid les  majeste laws, stupid loss of  face, you name it Thailand has it in spades, think of the stupidest most dangerous way to do anything and Thailands  the world leader, comical they really think they are "something"

Generalisations?? nope,  the truth hurts  Thailand, but you need a damn good  kicking into reality.

The corruption starts at the top filters right to the  bottom, found out today the very small village I live in has had 2-300k baht stolen out of their  funding ie corruption and the head of  village and all his hangers on have been sacked............ex  army guy, meanwhile roads  full of  holes for 6  months ( fixed em myself again), water  supply off for 4  days this week , last  week off  for 7  days, just given em 850 baht as they have NO  money for replacement water pipe..........PATHETIC, the whole country is on the take and the worlds  biggest joke.

Thankfully i avoid  most of this nonsense until i get to  immigration once  a year.

you've hit the nail on the head there, 101% true!

The Online 90D Reports works well.

I use it for years now without any problem, and I several times made it for friends who said it was not working for them. On their own computer, and respecting the timeframe to do it [-15D, -8D], it worked in 100% of cases.

BTW it takes 2 minutes and it's free

Cannot understand the so called educated computer literate ( they have to be to be on TV) not using Online reporting ????? The excuses of its not secure is BS, Thai officials have enough info on you all already.

  3. they are just cr4p drivers no respect for lane discipline or road manner. Oh and if the BKK Post is correct nearly 31000 drivers with no licences - whats going on ??

Watching the TV reports - everyone I have seen has a reporter standing at the road side reporting and every report there are traffic offences being committed by the drivers just shows how endemic poor driving is.

I have never been to Immigration offices to do 90 day report

for years,I have done it by post ,no problems, and last 4 times

i have done it online, once a year at the office is enough for me.

    regards worgeordie

Internet and or post simple, I cannot see why people put themselves through the pain of visiting the Imm Office when they have alternatives. And when they say they don't trust the net , ?? I cannot belive such a statement as they can be such keyboard warriors on TV ????

    Thai logic.

Grow rice, we need it and you get a good price.  Outcome - everyman and is dog grows rice and oversupply causes the market value of the product to slump.

    Next brainwave.

Grow pineapple, we need it and you get a good price.  Outcome - everyman and is dog grows pineapples and oversupply causes the market value of the product to slump.

    Latest brainwave

Grow corn we need it and you get a good price.  Outcome - everyman and is dog grows corn and oversupply will most certainly causes the market value of the product to slump.

I mean to say these government ministers should be locked away. But dig a bit deeper and you will unravel the truth possibly.

We all know that certain Thai families with "connections" are the ones that pull the strings here with the sole purpose of enriching themselves further.  One company who can not be named for defamation reasons, but quite close alphabetically,  is one such family owned company.  They of course are one of the main suppliers of animal feed in Thailand.   Therefore if farmers follow the advice of the minister,  prices for corn will plummet and of course this company will be able to buy corn at a significantly lower cost than they currently  do today.  Their products I am sure will never be reduced in price to reflect the low feedstock cost so hence profit margins increase greatly.  Thank you Junta for recommending that and you can visit my families holiday home in St Vincent at our expense any time that you wish,

very true, but the "sheep" will follow what he says , and be in deep poo in 3 years time , ..

    What stands out for me are these details;

-Initial reports said Peerasaran was the son of a high-ranking Koh Samui police officer,

-driving without a license, destroying state property and reckless driving resulting in the harm of others.

-Peerasaran was reportedly on summer vacation from studying in England.

Policing must be a very lucrative business on Koh Samui. I don't suppose the great and glorious General who commands the administration of Thailand is going to ask how this police officer amassed a fortune such that an expensive vehicle was purchased and that the boy was able to afford an expensive education in England.  This is why people from relatively law abiding countries have no respect for the Thai police.

It is not uncommon for 17 year old boys driving a  "powerful" vehicle at 2:30AM  to have serious crashes. This is why there is graduated licensing that imposes curfew or speed or adult supervision on young drivers during an extended period, in much of the world where motor vehicle related deaths and injuries are relatively low.Perhaps one day, Thailand will take the issue seriously.  Perhaps the boy did what all teenage boys do and that is to be an idiot and to misjudge. That is why a responsible parent would  not allow a 17 year old boy to drive at 2:30AM and certainly not a Mustang.

It will never happen money talks
